In the spirit of Susan Ciani:
1.) Make the simplest 8-step sequence you can force yourself to make.
2.) Then, build a modulation effects rack to make it interesting. 

I once heard her say she’d been using the same exact single sequence for years. It’s all modulation and effects. 
I like to just sit with this and think it thru.

This week’s challenge: use a sample from the worst possible device you have laying around.  I’m using my old micro cassette recorder, which  I’ll have to mic. It sounds horrible (not cool horrible).

Nintendub

We’ve been eager to share this one for a while now and it is finally here. It was recorded live the last time we all met, in a packed dimly lit room, huddled together around a table full of synthesisers. @start_rec's machines took the entire place and all of us with it on a tour around the confines of a wonderfully weird universe of his own creation. A relaxed sight-seeing trip ensued, warping about at a leisurely one hundred beats per minute through a kaleidoscope of otherworldly sounds.
