Eli & Fur delve profoundly into their songwriting roots with ‘Carbon’ - the latest single derived from their dual-part conceptual album ‘Found In The Wild’. Split down the middle into two distinct halves – ‘Found’ and ‘In The Wild’ – the album shows both sides of them as artists and songwriters which are contrasting yet complementary, grounded in their pop production background but with a dark electronic bite. 

Taken from the preliminary half of the project which is aptly titled ‘Found’, ‘Carbon’ is an enchanting rediscovery of the duo’s lyrical intricacy. Delicately automated arpeggiators ladder gently through the composition with rising fervency as the shimmer of synth pads cut through the high-end with undeniable elegance.

The girls’ trademark electronic textures interweave sophisticatedly with their songwriting prowess, a skill which began at just 18 years old when the duo met at pop production factory Xenomania, a UK powerhouse renowned for producing hit after hit. Eli & Fur spent their days writing songs for Girls Aloud, Katy Perry and Pet Shop Boys, and producing their own more ethereal, emotive material at night. ‘Carbon’ explores Eli & Fur’s many talents and their deft skills as songwriters, vocalists and producers is on display in abundance.

Since his debut on 2019’s Anjunadeep Explorations 11 with ’Sama', Simon Doty has put out four standout EPs on the label, his latest being the four-track ‘Solaris EP’. The Canadian producer has developed a reputation for delectable deep melodic house, garnering support from the likes of Phil Taggart, Danny Howard, Gorgon City, Cassian, Jax Jones, Lane 8, and releasing on Knee Deep In Sound, Einmusika, and This Never Happened.

Opening the EP with title track ’Solaris’, Doty shows his darker club side, reminiscent of 2020’s ‘Rave Generator’. The sun-drenched piano riff in 'House for All’ beckons the return of summer, whilst ‘Belikewater' and collaboration with Argentinian producer Ezequiel Arias ‘Requiem’ feature the progressive vibes that Doty is known for - the former track featuring on flagship label compilation Anjunadeep 12.

Josh Gabriel, Dave Dresden and Sub Teal have become lockdown heroes for dance music fans, hosting near daily livestreams on Twitch as part of their Club Quarantine series. Their third studio album ‘Remedy’ came out in January, inspired by the comfort we can find when wrapped in nature.

Breakout star Berlin-based producer and live artist Ben Böhmer returns to Anjunadeep after a landmark 18 months. Amassing over 50 million streams, picking up BBC Radio 1 support from Annie Mac and Pete Tong, including an ‘Essential New Tune’, being featured in Billboard’s ‘Ones To Watch’ and most notably releasing his acclaimed debut studio album ‘Breathing’ last November. This year Ben released the ‘Breathing’ (Remixed) LP featuring reworks from dance music royalty like Boris Brechja and Gui Boratto, along with his first-ever live album, ‘Live from Printworks London’. He now follows with the statement three-track ‘Phases EP’.

A set of exuberant and unapologetically club-ready tracks, the ‘Phases EP’ is an almost nostalgic evocation of a more innocent and celebratory time. ’With the lockdowns and club closures still in effect across the world, the ‘Phases EP’ is a kind of weird reminder of a lost world, of what once was.’ Böhmer wistfully reminisces, ‘I made the music to sound great in big clubs to a big crowd late at night. In fact, I debuted two of the tracks in my Printworks set last year. Now that’s all gone, and that time seems a world away.’

Title track ‘Phases’, a highly sort after ID throughout Ben’s sets over the past 12 months sees him team up with Anjuna mainstay Spencer Brown for their second collaborative production. The EP follows with a pair of certified dance floor moments, ‘Motherboard’ adrift with vocal loops and driving bass and ‘Zeit & Raum’ a staccato brass-laden number.

With a passion for abstract art and photography, Böhmer is using a piece by artist Tyrone Williams for the cover art of the ‘Phases EP’. Says Böhmer, ‘whenever I travel, I love to visit museums. But there’s no travel now, and all the museums are closed. It’s a different world.’ 

When he’s not working on music in his newly-built home studio, Böhmer currently occupies himself with games of chess and long walks through a nearby forest, living the quiet existence that we all have been reduced to, as we wait for the world to bloom again.

One of the most exciting new artists on the storied Anjunadeep roster, Marsh (aka Tom Marshall) soars into autumn with his new single ‘Lailonie.’ The song is the title track and first single from the UK-bred / Cincinnati-based producer’s upcoming album, out November 20. 

The LP and its title track are a testament to the healing and spiritual power of music in the face of tragedy, coming together in the wake of the unexpected passing of a beloved family member. 

Written over the past three years, the album is inspired by this and other impactful life experiences, along with some of the beautiful places Tom has visited whilst producing the album.

“Lailonie’, pronounced ‘Lay-lah-knee’, has been a safe place for me to express a multitude of feelings, moments and memories I’ve experienced over the last three years. The album is a series of snapshots taken at different points as I’ve processed moving to a new country, getting married, traveling to different places. I’ve also experienced the pain of loss. We unexpectedly and suddenly had to say goodbye to Maddy’s Mom Carme at the end of 2018. I’ve had to rapidly learn how to love and stand by Maddy as we process this pain. We live in a world with so much going on. I think it’s important to have a safe place where you can go to catch your breath, process life and grow.  Lailonie has been that place for me. I hope it can be that place for you.” 

‘Lailonie’ features collaborations from a wide array of talented artists including organic house music producer Wassu, soulful, jazzy vocalist Leo Wood, UK producer Phenoir, Cincinnati-based vocalist Mariel Beausejour, Austin-based songstress Mimi Page, and progressive house producer Forerunners. 

Marsh’s music has been supported by the likes of Joris Voorn, Kölsch and Rufus Du Sol, along with Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Phil Taggart at BBC Radio 1. His new album follows the release of his acclaimed collaboration with Nox Vahn, ‘Come Together’, featuring a moving spoken word sample from revered philosopher Alan Watts. On the live side, Marsh has performed at esteemed venues on both sides of the Atlantic, including Printworks London and The Brooklyn Mirage.  

With ‘Lailonie’ Marsh continues to tell his story of healing and inner peace through his enchantingly deep and progressive sound, and looks set to follow in the footsteps of fellow Anjunadeep alumni such as Lane 8, Yotto and Ben Böhmer on his rise to the top of the dance music world.
