“Parallel Dreams” unfolds like a cinematic voyage through alternate timelines — a meeting between two reflections of the same soul. One walks the neon-lit streets of memory; the other drifts through a digital horizon where time bends and emotion dissolves into sound. The track breathes in waves — shimmering arpeggios rise and fade like echoes of choices never made, while deep analog basslines pulse beneath, grounding the dream in heartbeats of reality.

The sound design fuses retro synthwave nostalgia with modern electronic motion — analog warmth against crystalline precision. Airy pads bloom into reverb-soaked skies, and ghostly vocal fragments flicker in the background, like transmissions from another version of yourself trying to reach through static.

“Parallel Dreams” captures that haunting feeling of déjà vu — of standing somewhere you’ve never been, yet knowing you’ve been there before. It’s about what could have been, what still might be, and the fragile line between the dreamer and the dream.

Bio:

Immersed in the synth-pop and electronica of the Eighties growing up in southern England, State Azure (b. 1972) found early inspiration in Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, and Vangelis. Deconstructing their tracks ignited his passion, leading him to develop a foundational understanding of electronic music theory, composition and production entirely by ear and experimentation.

He honed his skills as a keyboardist and producer within live bands before venturing into solo ambient/experimental territory. This self-taught journey fostered a deeply improvisational and emotional approach, free from the confines of formal training.

State Azure's sonic world is further shaped by influences beyond music, drawing heavily from science fiction, cosmology, physics, and technology.

Seizing the opportunity presented by the burgeoning online music scene, he launched the State Azure project to connect directly with listeners, debuting with the album 'Outlines' in December 2011.
