StateDefined is a collective effort of artists who share similar values, beliefs, morals and love of music and diversity of ideas.

Music remains a powerful tool that influences the way people think, speak, understand and feel. StateDefined creates music to answer to and for all human states and the name encompasses state of mind, state of spiritual and physical being, state of opinon and state of emotion. By being conscious of their messages in their songs, StateDefined remains aware of their influence their words may have on their listeners. 

The group was formed in early 2014 by Symon (Transform MC), Karl (SnL), Lauren (Violet Rose)and Lyle (Rai-Ru Feenix) and since then, StateDefined has grown to incorporate mentoring and individual projects to help inspire and develop new artists; unlocking a new level of love for creating quality music.

Transform MC: A bilingual, technical and poetic lyricist with a love for metaphors and encryption in his writing. Influenced by numerous artists and musicians and genres, his top 5 include KRS ONE, Rakim, Pharoahe Monch, Big Pun and The Gza.
Transform MC delivers rhymes on a level that invokes thought, insight and raw articulation.  

Snl: A longtime rapper in love with complex and tongue twisting linguistics. Snl posses the talent to create and spit rhymes that many rappers envy and question "how does he do that?" Influenced by Bone Thugs n Harmony, Tech9ne, Twista and Busta Rhymes, Snl writes and raps with one goal: to blow your mind!

Violet Rose: The songbird of the group, Violet Rose has proven to be a formidable top liner songwriter of StateDefined, writing many of the melodies and chorus lines for StateDefined's upcoming album. Recently collaborating with Lionel Cole and is currently working on her individual EP, Violet Rose turns to tunes of many past and contemporary artists from all genres such as Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin, Led Zepplin and Al Jerreau, all who influence her individual and unique sound.  

Rai-Ru Feenix: Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Rai-Ru is an MC constantly changing his approach to topics, writing and delivery. Being a conscious MC is no easy task,  Rai-Ru's draws his influences from his surrounding environment and people he associates along his journey. Music and life have made his task of creating socially aware and culturally sensitive  material, a spiritual and powerful listening experience.

Along with each members individual projects  the crew is currently working on a collective album with the talents of Dj Eyre on the production tip ... Stay tuned.
