Mattias El Mansouri https://soundcloud.com/mattiaselmansouri is a Stockholm based DJ and producer. He co-runs the mobile club @ritmoliminal_sthlm together with his friend Sergej Orlov and has been found spinning records at most places in Stockholm, making people dance to anything from Romanian minimal to funk from Cabo Verde. 

When he’s not busy studying, working, daydreaming or thinking about thinking, he produces murky, percussion-driven dance music on the border between techno and house- some of which saw the light of day earlier this summer on @aniara-rec, for which he has more releases lined up later this year.

We're extremely happy to have Mattias in our family. Next we'll have better sound setup in place to let his tunes flow as free and accurately as possible. Tune into his mix via our bio.

Recent years have seen Berlin based artist Philipp Priebe become a prominent producer in the world on
contemporary deep and dubby leaning House, Techno and Ambient, steadily unveiling his own material via the
growing back catalogue on his Stólar imprint. Here though, Priebe joins the roster of Dutch label Stately
Records, home to material from the likes of Anthon Kubikov, Luna Ludmilla, label co-founder dubtommy and
more.

"Cargo" is one of five downtempo beauties to feature on Sean La'Brooy's Merchant E.P. which is due out tomorrow on Scissor & Thread. It's an expansive, seven-minute journey that's both cerebral and somewhat moving. More than you could probably say about most modern electronica which tends to desperately fit inside a box. 

Here's how Sean explains the E.P. as whole:

“the purpose of this record was to create five tracks that each feel unique and distinctive from each other while still maintaining a common thread that connects them all to the same place. All my favorite records have a certain distinctiveness across each track that ties them together to create a sort of family of works. I think if you can achieve that cohesion, you’ve made a great album. With Merchant, I’ve tried my hardest to establish a unique identity while featuring 5 tracks that feel totally different at the same time. Different concepts, genres, tempos, instrumentation, still with a red thread to connect them all. In my mind, those commonalities are defined by a particular mood or sentiment, the use of playful melodies, and a reliance on acoustic rhythms throughout”.
