“Summer for Now” is the dreamy, grungy first single off Alex E.T.’s  Color of Strange LP out on Curation Records. Ethereal and magnetic, it captures that shimmering California feeling - nostalgic, distorted, and oddly uplifting. For fans of Mazzy Star, Breeders and Beach House, it’s a seasonal anthem about the reckless magic of youth, ache of growing apart, and moments when everything feels weightless and infinite during late night drives with the windows rolled down and the radio cranked loud.

Summer For Now

From the first hypnotic guitar notes, Alex E.T.’s “Callico II” casts a surreal spell, building with the pensive intensity of a ritual evocation. Reverb-soaked vocals and richly textured guitars weave into a heavy, jangly psych groove that echoes West Coast ’60s mysticism. Channeling Jefferson Airplane, 13th Floor Elevators, and Black Sabbath, the track spirals through a dark paisley underworld before circling back to its haunting origin - entranced, transformed, and reborn.

Seoul's Mount XLR (@kwangjaejeon) is a master at sculpting samples and sounds in a way that makes his music feel 3D — a throbbing entity, gritty and alive. On his new EP, 'Phase i', via @sound-supplyservice, he's deeply influenced by UK music - particularly bass, post-dubstep, and garage.

The six-tracker closes with 'Codrington Bounce', a cut partly produced in London that ties together the record’s dual energy and brings the narrative full circle.
