I wrote this song as a mirror to the idea of being saved. The first story is about someone being pulled from a dark place by a powerful, fiery person, but I wanted to explore the savior's perspective. What if he wasn't a legend 'honing his powers'? What if he was just as lost? This song is that confession—it's about the beautiful truth that the strongest connections form when two people recognize the same pain in each other and decide to be each other's light. It ultimately asks the question: "Who really saved who?"
