With "Static," I wanted to create a song that sonically mirrors the feeling of being ahead of the curve. The track is built on a raw, industrial hip-hop foundation, intentionally sparse and anxious in the verses. It's driven by a menacing, pulsating synth bass and a hard, minimalist drum beat to reflect the isolation of seeing what others don't. The chorus then shifts the mood with a melancholic organ and heavily autotuned, layered vocals, creating a hook that feels both robotic and deeply emotional—the sound of a distorted, lonely broadcast.
