I wrote "The Last Good Day" about that specific, haunting feeling of looking back and being able to pinpoint the exact moment everything was perfect for the last time. The whole song is meant to feel like a faded photograph, a memory you keep replaying. The verses are quiet and nostalgic, remembering the small details, but the chorus is this huge, emotional release because the memory is both beautiful and incredibly painful.
