Next up in the Fast Forward Audio Series, we present: olesia  

olesia is a Russian-born, London-based queer DJ who goes in HARD. Think slamming techno that jumps from clean kickdrums to gnarlier beats of the early 90s, with the occasional jaw-grinding vocal thrown in at just the right time. Having played across the UK capital for Lobsterfest, Unfold, Riposte, Find Me In The Dark, Boudica and Inferno, she's navigated fluctuating crowds and various club settings, allowing her to expand her skill and ultimately hold the dancefloor in the palm of her hand. 

Co-founder of Technomate, she uses the platform as an event, educational, and podcast platform to champion and showcase international FLINTA (female, lesbian, inter, non-binary, trans and asexual / agender) artists. While Technomate garners an online presence via a residency on Threads radio and standalone podcast series, olesia curates each aspect of TM8 to nurture London's techno scene for the better. Whether she's organizing discussions with established artists as part of the TM8 .edu series or booking the next round of inspiring and emerging artists for TM8 parties, olesia is a true talent contributing significant value to club culture in 2022.

Fast Forward Audio Series #75: olesia

This week on the Ismcast we have Matriark.

At last Matriark has contributed to the Ismcast and we are very excited. The young Norwegian, now based in Copenhagen, has been making massive contributions to the reborn trance scene in Europe with many fast and powerful euphoric productions as well as playing at some of the best trance events across the continent.

Her set shows a truely tasteful representation of where the electronic music scene has been moving in recent years with a combination of old classics and cutting edge new productions from the Nordics.

Ismcast Presents 167 - Matriark

Psicotek started to make electronic music 4 years ago. But that was not the start of his musical journey as he is playing piano since the age of 6. Nowadays he is known for his live productions inspired by 90’s trance artists such as Gary D, Legend B, or Timo Maas but also by modern Skandi-Trance and ambient records. His music is always a product of trying out new ways of sound design by putting the sounds in different contexts and the limitations of an all-hardware setup. Thereby he is prioritizing a special groove and interesting sounds within a track. Better keep an eye open to don’t miss out on his upcoming releases within the next few months.

A: "LSG - Netherworld 2005 (Oliver Prime remix) - I will never forget the feeling of playing this for my Berlin debut early this year, it’s one of my favourite tracks of all time and this was a very special set to me. It was also the first time meeting friends that I had only spoken to through socials beforehand, it was incredibly wholesome to see them come to support and dance with me."

Following her insane set for us over the summer at TM8 Party #06, we are delighted to feature HØLEIGH on our podcast series. A prolific name on Manchester's techno circuit, HØLEIGH builds her sets with exquisitely-selected grooves, rumbling basslines and a touch of trance. Having made her well-due debut on @hoerberlin in October and played for parties like Teletech and @ismusberlin several times over, HØLEIGH’s schedule continues to grow by the minute. On her one-hour power pod, the Mancunian delivers a speedy, psy-flavoured mix packed with huge drums and tripped-out melodies, finishing on an ambient note. A talent to watch, 100%.
