After countless hours spent chopping up vinyl, laying down basslines, tweaking synthesizers and banging on drum pads I'm proud to present "I'm Gone". This album aims to bring back the soulful sounds of the past while maintaining a bass-heavy modern feel. I'm especially happy with two tracks on the album which feature my friend Willdabeast (of Snug Harbour and Michal Menert Big Band). Will laid down some soulful horns, flute and a few other instruments to take my sample-based beats to the next level. "Rooftop Hops" is a funky electronic infused track with an upbeat swing and heavy dose of bass. It is a collaboration track between Flightmaster and I featuring Natalie Scharf on the saxophone and Jesse "Jround Sound" on the guitar. I came up with this idea when Chunk came to my place and gave me a boat load of samples. I found one I truly enjoyed it was labeled "IdShine" so I decided to name this track after that sample, but not only because of the sample but because we as humans need to break out of this violent nature we have brought ourselves in. We need to seek our true potential and be what we are meant to be, and spread the love we are meant to spread. No one likes to hate, no one likes to kill, no one on this beautiful earth has a natural love for evil. We are all human, we are all full of knowledge and love and the power to change anything we want.
