Staxkz is an artist destined to make his way in the music industry. Motivated by life’s experiences, he is determined to make sure every piece of art which he crafts into a song has meaning. Staxkz, also known as James Parham, was taught at a young age to chase his goals until they were made a reality. He began pursuing music as a hobby 10 years ago, but did not take it seriously until 2014. Growing up, people told him he was talented and to push himself to make something out of that talent. Now, he is ready to heed their words and pursue music as a career. Before it was a way for him to express his emotions. Now it is a way for him to make a name for himself and make a difference. Spending two years at New York University’s Tisch School of Music, he knows his way around production ethics and has knowledge not just of performance, but of the industry. 

Coming out of Fredericksburg, Virginia, the music created by Staxkz can be described as nothing other than unique. Every verse or song that he writes is heartfelt and based on true life events. Being so in-tune with himself, listeners can almost say they know him after hearing his music. His love of hip-hop and the hunger to be heard is felt all through his projects. Hip-hop is alive, and its name is Staxkz. #NoPrints
