Stay Bless is an artist with a locker full of bright and playful tunes. Go through his SoundCloud and you've got the jangling 'Always' and the string-heavy 'Girl'. 

Then there's 'Faded', last year's hook-up with Dev Hynes, and the recent 'Distance', a smooth as silk cut with some grit provided by London MC Trim.

Up steps Justin Robertson under his The Deadstock 33s guise to completely turn it on his head and treat us to an acid-fueled five-and-a-half minutes of intensity.

Inspired equally by the classic songwriting of Fleetwood Mac, George Michael, Bruce Hornsby and Spiritualized, and the strikingly modern production techniques of Actress and Darq E Freaker; Stay Bless is modern symphonic pop that utilises emotional honesty as its key instrument. The lush “Always”, is a tantalising first glimpse at their world, a rapturous and euphoric appreciation of canonical pop classicism that is as majestic as it is moving; a sumptuous vision of transcendental grace grounded by richly affecting vocals from frontman George Cassavetes. The striking, beautifully simple accompanying video by Esther Cloe Theaker only serves to point up the exquisite emotional directness of the track. 

The track is taken from the forthcoming EP 'Faded', which was recorded over the course of half a year, between the band’s flat and borrowed nocturnal studio time. The writing and recording process became an oasis for Stay Bless, whilst their personal relationships and health distorted and broke down around them.
