Celebrating 20 years of Stay Up Forever’s firebrand Acid Techno label and the hedonistic underground scene it championed (now on their 100th vinyl release and still going strong!), the label has decided to end the year of SUF100 events with the mother of all parties, combining forces with London’s finest Techno party crew and seminal London label: HYDRAULIX for the first time ever, in a massive three room warehouse location. Expect the phattest rigs, production and line-up the capital has seen for some time with music provided by London’s finest Techno visionaries taking you on a journey through the sickest Acid Techno to the darkest throbbing Techno, no compromise, United in vision and musical purpose, dedicated to the sound of underground Techno across the spectrum.

Stay Up Forever and Hydraulix will be joining forces with London Warehouse Events for this historic venture, who currently run the cream of underground techno parties in London, including: Chris Liebing’s ‘CLR’, Adam Beyer’s ‘Drumcode’, and Sven Vath’s ‘Cocoon’. This will be a collaboration that takes Techno back to the underground on a massive scale to throw a party that will shake the foundations of London.

This will also be the official launch party for the brand new remixes of classic squat party anthem ‘ONE NIGHT IN HACKNEY’!!! More details to follow soon…

But for the first time we've been forced to play a pre-recorded set - James recorded a bangin set of new tunes in the afternoon and sent it over. And another first - we joined up with the Big Fish crew from Curitiba to do a live video stream - I've got no idea why anyone would want to watch us getting drunk, twiddling knobs and pulling embarrassing dance moves, but anyway we went for it :) As we linked up with Big Fish I put together a set of the kind of stuff I would've been playing at their parties nearly 20 years ago...

What better way to celebrate the tenth edition of my Squat Rocking series of mixes dedicated to the sounds of London's squat party scene than with a tribute to the one and only Chris Liberator? Awesome dj, fantastic producer, this mix pulls together 27 of his solo productions, collaborations, and remixes from the 1990's, all mixed on vinyl by myself in one single unplanned and totally improvised set. It's fucking aving it!

Stay Up Forever Records

Stay Up Forever or SUF is an independent record label run by the Liberator DJs. It was started in 1992 by Chris, Aaron and Julian who were collectively known as the Liberators, a DJ trio named after the space ship in the old BBC TV Sci Fi series, Blakes Seven.

The Label has consistently been at the front of London’s underground music scene, and is widely regarded as being responsible for creating the genre known as Acid Techno.  Heavily influenced by the UK punk scene, the label has been releasing a steady stream of hedonistic techno rave music, with its trademark sound being based on the distorted Roland TB303 bass synth and the Roland TR909 drum machine.

Stay Up Forever has been name checked by just about every famous DJ in the world, it is notorious for its music being uncompromising and for being staunchly underground.

Over the years the industry has changed and SUF has had to flex a bit to go with the times, the SUF collective was born and under this umbrella is a group of record labels which share a similar vision of staying true to their roots and releasing underground acid techno music for the squat parties and ravers around the world.

They release on 12” vinyl, and the whole operation is still run by Chris Liberator who deals personally with all the labels and artists.
