NEO 앨범 소개

가상과 현실을 혼동하는 한 과대망상자의 이야기를
영화 <매트릭스>의 서사구조를 모티브로 풀어낸 최유담의 두번째 EP 앨범이다.
그리하여 이 앨범의 제목은 영화의 주인공의 이름이기도 한 <NEO>이다.
얼터너티브 락, 팝, 멈블 랩, EMO 힙합, 테크노, 펑크, 일렉트로니카 등 
여러 장르를 하나의 앨범 속에 유동적으로 녹여내었다.

앨범커버에서 매트릭스의 네오를 연기한 키아누리브스를 코스프레 해봤지만.... 성공적인 것 같지는 않다.




<MATRIX>에서 자신이 지금 알고 있는 모든 것이 가짜, 즉 이 세계가 매트릭스라는 것을 안 주인공은

<야경꾼>을 통해 저항에 대한 각오를 다진다, 깨어난 그는 우매한 대중에게 

<Mr. SMITH>로 자유를 쉽게 헌납하지 말라는 경고를 날리며,

<NEO>, <MORPHEUS> 로 이 세계의 저항군이 된 그는 고독하지만 자신의 일을 열심히 수행한다.

<RED PILL>에서 그가 벌인 일들이 모두 약에 취함으로 나타난 망상일 뿐이 드러나며,

<TRINITY> 에서 그는 현실과의 괴리에 괴로워하다,

결국 마지막 <CAPSULE>을 통해 잡혀버린 NEO는 정신병동에 갇힌다.
