Paying homage with rescued sound clips from the archives, DJ Spinn & Taso bring us Good Newz, a tribute to the charismatic founder of Teklife DJ Rashad. A warm voicemail from their late friend opens up the track, which quickly explodes into a storm of hyper bleeps and psychotic hi-hats pumping along an infectious rhythm. It’s structure eventually collapses, revealing a minimal battle track with pummeling bass triplets. Sounds are mangled, the bleeps and pushed and pulled every which way, and time feels suspended as drum patterns morph. Rashad was known for his mastery of the MPC, and these two are flexing their way around the pads in a way that would make him proud. Using the remnants of their peer that have survived hard drives over the last 10 years, this is their way of saying thank you for everything, and a testament to their mission of keeping his name alive.

Hood Joplin's "This, That, and the Third" captures the essence of the studio as a battleground, where collaboration, improvisation, and raw intensity coalesce into a frenetic club experience. "Come Out," a triple collaboration with Text Chunk and Sven K, emerges as one of the album's most compelling moments. Created during an intense, psychedelic winter studio session, the track captures the chaotic synergy of its creators. Sampling a popular Miami-duo's vocals, "Come Out" intertwines frenetic juke rhythms with an ecstatic, unhinged groove, pulling listeners into a locked-in, immersive experience that embodies the album's collaborative spirit.

AMAWALK offers a peaceful and enchanting listening experience on this three-track EP, Solar, balancing careful electronic movements atop a textured instrumental palette. This represents the first label release from the New York City-based producer, whose music is wise beyond its years. 

Across Solar, AMAWALK leverages the organic sound of strings, woodwinds, and a buffet of percussion. He leans on the natural resonance of these sounds to establish wide, earthen atmospheres. Layered sine waves, ample sub movement, and a garnish of glitch; these electronic elements descend into his compositions and lea to a quickening. Pieces begin to interlock, forming full-bodied, enlivened compositions that gently grab hold of the listener without overpowering them. With great continuity from song to song, Solar becomes its own novel journey, reaching an emotional and harmonic climax before fading into silence.
