This is a very special song for me and i'm about to tell you why... One day, when i got in school suspension i opened up Logic Pro X and made the first version of this track and named it EA$Y. Never knew why, just sounded absolutely badass. Months passed and i kept coming back to the project, tweaking little things, changing some synths here and there, a couple snares, etc. but i never really knew the meaning of the track until i wrote the lyrics. Massive thanks to LUCIA for helping me out with her beautiful voice. So I've been a fan of The Chainsmokers ever since they were starting out. Before Kanye or Selfie, way back when they were remixing indie bands, but I have to say... Closer is by far my favorite Chainsmokers song. I flipped out when I heard they were making a song with Halsey and the moment I heard it, it was stuck in my head. So with me being in Miami and all, I decided to stare out the window of my hotel room late at night into the bright downtown lights and just make whatever came to mind. Since I'm latino I wanted to give the track a "Latin Urban" kind of vibe in the drop while still keeping the Future and Dance vibes. This has been a great summer and there's no better way to end it than by spreading some good vibes through music :) Anyways this description is getting too long, here's my remix for Closer! Enjoy! I've always been afraid of putting my own vocals on my tracks because I'm not very good at it and that's the reason I'm a producer, and not a singer. So about this song... I know my singing isn't that great so my apologies lol. Anyways, was hanging out with my cousin Diego and my friend MiKe the other day and we were recording some Saxophone notes cause apparently my little cousin is the next Kenny G... we came up with the melody for this track and MiKe did his thing with the bass and I started building from there. The lyrics were inspired by the fact that my little cousin and I watch a lot of 80's style movies cause we dig it! (Good Recommendations: Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club, etc.)You're probably annoyed by now so just enjoy and keep it real!

This song tells the story of a boy who fell in love with a girl that doesn't really notice him, only to find out later that they both feel the same way, but she's been refusing to give in to her feelings. I recently just discovered that one of the best times to make music is late at night (around 3AM is probably the best time). You really begin to think a lot about past experiences, memories, etc. This song was born one night at 3:12AM. I'm glad it did, because this is probably the realest, most heartfelt song I've ever written and produced. A lot of time and effort when into the making of this song and I couldn't be happier with the way it came out. I hope those of you listening really enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it...

I started this song about a year ago at around 3 in the morning, back when I was in my old apartment. I’ve always loved creating stories in my head about situations that could possibly never happen, kinda like the plot of a movie but its all in your head, and thats mostly how I go about creating the lyrics to my songs; by telling a story. This song tells the story of a guy who’s spiraling out of control; he then meets a woman who promises him fame, luxury and all the things that come with it. Because of this, he sells her his soul. Theres a thousand ways you can interpret the story, but we wanted to leave that up to you. This story isn’t about me, in case your wondering I’ve never even been to California, but it resonates with me because I hope that if I make it far in this industry, I always stay true to myself and others and never “sell my soul” for the luxury and the fake friends and all that shit. I started this song a little bit more than a year ago. I was Face-timing a friend and I wanted to prove how "easy" it was to make a catchy latin song, so in 15 minutes I made the first version of this track which was about a minute and a half total, and then I put it up on Soundcloud as a joke. Apparently people liked it, so I decided to keep working on it more and more. Here we are a year later, and after so many sleepless nights, I'm so fucking excited to announce that this track is finally out. Im so excited because this track is very special to me. It used to be my roommate/good friend Fabio's favorite song of mine. He passed away this year and I wanted to leave this in his memory; because just like this song, he was fun, charismatic, and had a heart so big you could hear it beating from a mile away. IT JUST HAPPENED

to whoever is reading this,

when i started this song, i was in a very difficult place and nothing really made sense to me at the time. i opened up my laptop and just wrote down whatever was on my mind. listening to the finished product now, i realize that it’s much more than what I originally inteded it to be. i think “dime cuando” is more than just a love song; at the time, i thought it was about losing someone and waiting for them to come back. now, i think its about losing yourself and acknowledging it; knowing that you can always be better, and finding your way back to who you truly are.
