The HEAT are excerpts from my legendary Aural Indiscretions broadcasts from March 2020 - March 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic. These live streaming broadcasts were unscripted and often lasted up to 12 hours long. The long mix format allowed me to explore a variety of styles, moods, and genres house, techno, and electronic music. Above all, the broadcasts allowed myself and others to keep in touch or provide a momentary reprieve from the madness of the world. If you were along for the ride you may have listened into the wee hours of the morning, or perhaps listened to them later via the mixlr showreel or gdrive download. Aural Indiscretions is currently on hiatus as I have an infant daughter now and am in the newborn vortex giving her and my wife my complete attention & love. 

 A 10-12 hour mix can be a lot to digest for most people, so I have decided to break it up into heaty chunks for people to listen to. My general criteria is looking for thoughtful segments 1-3 hours long where I feel I was communicating through the music appropriately, had good flow, remember having fun, or was crushing it. The broadcasts also included the occasional live improvisation using my sampler, synthesizers, & drum machine. The comfort of home spurred me to push my boundaries, experiment, and be silly in ways I wouldn’t do at most live gigs out in the world.  I hope enjoy The HEAT! 

The Heat 01 is from the last couple hours of my birthday broadcast on 03.28.20. One of the few times I got on the mic and said some words at the end there.

This is my set closing down the local DJs stage at the Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Festival on Saturday. It was such a lovely day spent with friends and family, it doesn't get much better. Thanks to all for what we do!
