We have come together as an extended family of artists to show support for people with an imperialist's foot on their throat. The Anti-Imperialism Schism was compiled at pace, upon the invasion of Ukraine. All proceeds from this collection will go to supporting humanitarian efforts in both Ukraine and Yemen. 

We accept there are many other places facing repression but these people are, at the time of release, facing the most intense onslaught. You’ll know about Ukraine from the Zeitgeist. But, did you know, thanks to 8 years of war in Yemen there are an estimated 24,000,00 people in need of assistance, 100,000 people killed since 2015 and 4,000,0000 displaced people?

War is despicable. We see what the war machine of imperialism does and we throw the deepest scorn at Putin and his government for their ongoing assault on the people in Ukraine and the Saudi Monarchy for their continued bombardment of Yemen. But we equally despise the provocative and uncompromising actions of the US government for their steering of NATO which was catalytic in the Ukraine war and for their kowtowing to the Saudi Monarchy on the war in Yemen. And yes, we see the complicity of the UK, French and Iranian governments, and the rest of the industrial-military complex. And don't worry Israeli government, you get a notable mention, but we are trying to stay on topic.

The more we read, the less we know, but the duplicitous power-grabbing fuckery by all the imperialists is clear. It isn't simple, nor black and white, but the deathly oppression via aerial bombardment of non-combatants is simply unacceptable. To the imperialists and oppressors, their puppets, their funders and their shareholders: Get bent.

We won't fight in the wars of governments. We see strength in anti-war thinking and action. Observing live invasion and war profoundly challenges this philosophical position though, especially as we want to send strength and respect to those forced to fight oppressive invaders to defend their lives and homes. We hope our music can help a little. The best people to decide how to spend the money we raise are on the ground in the Ukraine and Yemen. As such, all funds from this release will go to www.redcross.org.ua/en/ and www.monareliefye.org, 50/50 split.

I just released two ambient electronic tracks under my real name, Julien Guillot, on No Slack Records "Seasons 2022 (S/S)" compilation.

“Seasons 2022 (S/S)” is No Slack Records’ 5th installment of the biannual “Seasons” compilation series. For this year’s Spring/Summer release, artists from France, Japan, South Korea, Seattle, Toronto came together. The result is a whimsical electronic journey weaving analog ambience, heady bass and modular jams.

Jeremy Blake, a seattle based producer and musician, starts off the compilation with a somber electro-acoustic track. Then Japanese composer and contemporary artist Pollypraha (Takeyuki Hakozaki) retains the calmness flow with his ambient modular composition.

The third and seventh tracks are by French producer Julien Guillot aka Stazma. The tracks are like etudes in modular synthesis. The fourth track continues the experimental nature with “M0rph” by Livigesh, a South Korean producer and artist.

“Neverending Unrelenting Goodtimes” by Tornoto based electronic producer Dark Tapes takes the compilation into a dimension where it feels like one is in a traveling spaceship looking out the window.
Then the compilation continues with a heady bass track “MDTES101” by Seoul based producer Jeongjeon. The compilation closes with Flower Manson’s psychedelically leaning track “Grn.5”

"An collection of short ambient jams recorded for the sake of fun, that I decided to share with the world in the form of an album.

Most of those are "one instrument one shots" as I like to call them. This mean that those were recorded using only one synthesizer / instrument (half of the time a Roland MC-202, and different modular systems for the rest).
You could think this as being the opposite of my Stazma project, everything here is very simple, minimalistic and repetitive (hopefully in a good way tho).

This album is also some sort of a tribute to everything non-linear and unpredictable in the audio world: analogue circuits, tubes,spring reverb, tapes, all those things that made those pieces sound as they sound.
A special thanks and homage to Vic Keary from Thermionic Culture Ltd. who passed away yesterday; nothing would have sounded the same without the Culture Vulture, rest in peace.

Anyway I hope you will enjoy this, I suggest you play this in your car while driving in the snow this winter."

The first boxes were built in the summer of 2008 and stacked up in Barking with the paint still wet. Since then its been consistently out and about in some form or other. With Tekno in the fields and forests of the south of England, Live Bands and Broken-Beats in sweaty London offices, and lots of Hardcore in lots of warehouses all over the place.

Any excuse for a Knees Up; D.I.Y or Die.

From Scotland to Guinea-Bissau, Wales to Albania and a lot of places in between a massive amount of people have come together over the years to create these autonomous spaces for freedom, dancing and banging rave music. Its the people that make the party, Squatters, Dj's, Stewards, Artists, Drivers, Performers, Technicians, Producers, Gate-Keepers, Electricians, Legal-Observers, Urban Explorers and all the On-It Ravers who keep each other safe amidst the madness; but its the Music that brings us all together.

Core and Tek of different speeds and ferocities, Jungle, Drum/Drill and Bass in all its shape shifting forms. We try and pump the sounds that are not easy to find.

Its a quiet year so far but it will get louder. To kick it off we are launching our long awaited label IRD Recordings. Bringing together a whole host of producers and releasing the type of tunes that we have been playing all these years; namely up-tempo having-it rave music. Watch this space for the first of the digital releases dropping in the coming months with the Vinyl soon to follow.

We've been lucky enough to play music with and alongside loads of crews in our time covering a big range of genres. There was the old-school-jungle DnB and Dub Step of Disjunkt, Abacus, ACME, Deeper and Break Core and noize from Ill-Eagle/Pitchless, Dead-Dog-Disco and Pokora. Out of town there was Jump-Up-DnB with TPK, Havoc, Swarm, and Lost-and-Sound. A lot of hard LondonTekno from E1s, Hub, Manic, and Stinky-Pink to name but a few and HardTek, Crossbreed and DnB from Napalm, Hard-Party, UnderKonstruction and Desert-Storm. More recently theres been the JungleTek and GypsyCore of Irritant, and JigSore, HardTek and French-Core from Albehd and TeknoKombat with LWT, Berserk, and Patch-Work on the Jungle, DnB and two step. Pirate-ship-stages at Mischief-Festival and No-Structure as well as stages with TAA and The Anarchist Bookfair have made us a platform for live music as well. Bands like Deadwood, Bad Fractals, Tribazik, DogHouse and Killdren all bring a free-party influence to there sound.

Its this rich underground musical culture that has inspired us and thats exactly what we aim to capture in IRD Recordings. Keep your ears to the ground for some absolute belters coming out this year and we will be back on the dance floors soon enough.
