The other night my Dad had a surprise for me. 

GUYS- let me tell you... I was in tears. 

The surprise was an old tape recording of my mother singing "You Got it All" by The Jets in the 80s. She was about 17 when she walked into that karaoke booth at the mall. 

I don't know much about my mother's past and childhood years but whenever I get my hands on something I never let it go. 

Mom, for the past couple of years you've wanted to record a duet together. I thought, how cool would it be to sing with my best friend when she was practically my age? 

Everybody, if y'all want to know where I got my gift... take a listen to this. 

Mama, I hope you enjoy this as much as I have. You had and still have an amazing voice. I mean, listen to these notes you hit!!! Thank you for influencing me to sing. I was taught from the best. You.

This is a cover from a cover from a cover. Haha. I basically recorded this for multiple people. Hearing people's stories, what they have gone through this year, what they have triumphed I felt so inspired to record this. I have trouble expressing how I feel with words so I sometimes turn to music to do the talking for me. I'm not going to name the people I recorded this for but, I want you to remember that I am always here for you, I love you. I want you to feel my love.
