"In June of 2017, I got put onto the NNH roster and was told I could release a brand new EP for the label. I ended up cranking out a 5 song EP over the course of a weekend, and eventually titled it "Authenticity and Not" and sent it over to heche via email. Some shit happened and it got delayed multiple times. At one point, I didn't know if I wanted to be apart of this label anymore and just went back to work. Around the time of my first concert, I started working on new rap again, with the intent to release my own album on my own Bandcamp instead of the EP, and had about 4 songs done before heche hit me back up and explained his situation to me, so I decided to stay on NNH and create with them... 

This mixtape is 3 songs from the EP and the 4 songs from my album i was working on, mushed together. I didn't feel like the cohesiveness was there so I decided it would just be a mixtape. It was created over the span of 4 weekends spanning from June into September, not including the verses from my friends on this thing. I think this tape shows my progress since my last project, Distinguished ( steadyaudio.bandcamp.com/album/distinguished ) 
and I think it shows me finding my own unique style within art-rap. 

So, this mixtape was crafted with my mind and has my ideals and thoughts carved into it. This is "fox". This is me.

first up, Tevin (soundcloud.com/t_sage) has been posting beats a lot, and produced an entire project with me. coming out early summer at 13 tracks or so. then, I have a mostly self-produced album coming out, with production features from Tev, and emmanuel fade (soundcloud.com/mannyfade). MAGE COOKBOOK 2 will come out either before or after this last album. excited to finally be sharing new music again, after my flashdrive containing an entirely self-produced album broke last year. it was shit compared to this new new anyhow.

throwaways from my year long secret album, "paulbearer's poems" acts as an all new issue #1 for fox. wrote last summer with a quill of heartstrings, ink crimson, the topics touched on link and lead directly into my new, mostly self produced, album "won't hide the madness", releasing later this year. "paulbearer's poems" is a dive into Vellum Bristol, and where it truly resides. not the mind, but the heart.
