Introducing their first release on Dispatch, we welcome the trio Kolectiv, Dexta & Mauoq to our Dispatch LTD imprint for “The Roots EP”; presenting a selection of no-nonsense, sub-pulsated tracks in a deftly constructed package.

Comprised of four dark & brooding escapades into the abyss, built largely upon a stripped-back framework, superior levels of space allow for imagination to wonder in the lower frequencies. With each track confidently shying away from the common ‘rules’ of arrangement, we’re constantly kept guessing with each passing corner and without prompts, whether it’s a shuffle into half-time tempo at interludes, or stomping and lashing back in suddenly from an often sparse or cinematic breakdowns.

A finely tuned EP from a group of promising producers, expect to hear more from these guys on Dispatch again soon. This release is also lovingly dedicated by the crew and ourselves at the label to Emre Serter, father of one of Kolectiv’s members that sadly passed away recently. Emre, this one’s for you.

Moresounds' first release for the Cosmic Bridge label - which also doubles up as his first vinyl release - is a cocktail of old and new flavours processed, re-arranged and output through analogue gear to produce an auditory delight in the finest champion sound tradition. The obvious primary influences are from Jamaican legends such as King Tubby, Scientist and Jammy whose mastery of the dark arts of dub have had a long-lasting effect on the French producer. Additional influences come from a more personal angle, as early memories and experiences of free parties in his homeland play a strong part in helping Moresounds ground his music in a spirit of fun that is always inclusive.



The four tracks on the EP were run through a mixing desk and stack of outboard, analogue effects to give a serious bounce to the riddims and life to the melodies. The result is quite simply irresistible. Managing to sidestep any potential attempt at calling his dub work pastiche, Moresounds delivers the real deal across four cuts. Weeda is pure digidub, as infectious and potentially addictive as the subject matter of its refrain. Analog Steak is what happens when hip hop gets bitten by the same zombies Scientist was trying to rid the world of and turns mutant in the process. The only known cure is a hefty dose of analogue synthesizers, Dr. Moresounds is at the controls and the dancefloor is the operating table. Shtrakstep is what Moresounds refers to as du ' Lourd Raggadelic*' lourd means heavy in French, and well that riddim kind of weighs a ton. No Coke closes the EP on a raggastep vibe. Yes we realise that's two slightly ridiculous genre names in one paragraph but when the music includes such a delirious mix of ragga and bass what can you do. Breath Control bridges the analogue and digital worlds effortlessly. Inspired by electronic music, jungle, dub and hip hop it's a musical melting pot rendered all the more potent by its honesty and simplicity. As some of our favourite video games from the 80s were fond of reminding us, "Winners Don't Take Drugs" - but that doesn't mean we can't all go on a trip together.

*Raggadelism is defined as a mix of ragga and psychedelic. It's a humble journey into mystical dub, a mix of ancestral and modern bass flavours partly inspired by a vinyl shop called 'Bidule' which Moresounds' parents ran in the 70s.

Next up on Lifestyle we celebrate our past year of releases, and give a sneaky look into the future of the label; it’s the Lifestyle Annual 2018!

This Annual marks an important moment in the life of the label; for the past couple of months we've had our heads down, thinking about what's important to us here at HQ and how to revise our look a bit. This has resulted in a fresh approach to our brand and a more refined visual style moving forward into 2019, we are very excited about it and can't wait to show you what's in store!

We’ve knocked our heads together and picked out 16 choice cuts of prime Lifestyle material from the past year, tunes that have stood out to each of us as the finest our label had to offer in 2018. We tried to keep it reasonably varied, but didn’t do so well, so expect a heavy concentration of that deep dark tech inside, as well as a splattering of other distinct sounds. 

While we have got some of the Lifestyle ‘anthem’ tunes in there, we’ve also been careful to include some for the real heads, tunes that some might have missed first time round, that we reckon deserve excavating and rinsing out. 

As if this wasn’t enough, we’ve also thrown in 10 brand-new tracks, featuring some very close connections! A lot of these tracks are from new voices we’ve just started listening to in the scene, and to make it extra personal, four of the ten tracks come from the team here at the label! Mandie, Jamie, Jono & Mersen (+ Ken) dug in and came out with some tracks of their own for the release, including the first ever release for Combine with ‘Retrograde’, a super-vibey deep liquid banger. This exclusively personal touch is the cream on the cake of this release, which itself crowns what was the best year for our label yet. 

We hope you enjoy this release as much as we enjoyed putting it together. We’re deeply indebted to all the artists we’ve worked with over the past year and beyond, without them making the tunes, and you lot buying the tunes, this label would be nothing, so we’re forever grateful for all your support in 2018, and hope we do you proud this year. We’ve got some big plans in the pipeline that we can’t wait to let you all know about, so make sure to stay connected and informed! Symmetry are kicking off the summer vibes with a new Various Artist album " Summetry", following their recent EP from DSP and double sided single from KonSoul. Focusing on musical, deep and liquid DnB flavours for this release, tracks were handpicked to encapsulate the spirit of the season. 
Welcoming artists such as DJ Marky, Lenzman and L SB to the label roster for their exclusive additions to this compilation. Each of these talented producers bring their signature style and sound with their offerings.
Vocal content is a strong feature with two Break & Kyo collaborations already receiving extensive club and radio support. Lenzman skillfully reworks the vocals of Charli Brix with his stylish remix of the Ill Truth & Satl track 'In Your Soul'.
Total Science & FD, Hydro & War and LSB deal effortlessly with the summer roller duties, combining dance floor grooves with warm soulful soundscapes. 
Symmetry are pleased to unleash debuts from Arcatype and EchoB, who give their own unique version of the label's sound through their expert productions.
Incus, DFlect & Arcus and Native Alliance round the project off with their deep and jazzy tunes, bringing the sunset moods to a release perfect for the forthcoming summer festivals.
