Sonic pipelines have been running with full force between our two cities for some time, and Breathe… Godspeed embodies a shared obsession for shaping futures and dancefloors through evocative club acrobatics. 

Exploring the intersection between the sacred and the erotic, this four-track EP is propelled by visceral sound design, dipping into a variety of styles and paces. 

Verraco constructs groove like no other: while covering mind-altering Techno to gut-punch bass music, he takes sheer dancefloor euphoria up to dizzying heights with a unique radiance.

Following her appearance on our Superclásico Vol. 1 compilation (but long cemented as core label family since first meeting in London in spring 2022), JIALING makes her full debut on @clasicorecs with a four-track EP. 

From Baltimore but with strong ties in New York, JIALING has spent the last few years earning a reputation as one of the underground’s finest club producers, self-releasing a steady stream of breaks, club and acid anthems while collaborating with the likes of Jersey Club legend KAYY DRiZZ and Baltimore standard-bearer Calvo. Most recently, she released her debut album 家 (jiā) to a rapturous reception in the scene, and remixed TREKKIE TRAX co-founder Seimei’s ‘Tokyo Funky Breaks’ on Sorry Records. 

Although she wears her influences on her sleeve, drawing from a deep knowledge of North American club music history, JIALING has developed a way with percussion, samples and breaks science that makes her music instantly recognisable as her own, with a lasting power that lingers long after the tracks finish. With one foot in New York’s contemporary club scene and another in Baltimore’s vibrant new wave, FREAKY HORNS sets out JIALING’s manifesto for club music that’s steeped in history with an eye to the future.
