For D//C017, we are glad to bring you our latest release “Archive,” an exciting new addition to the DIRTY//CLEAN catalog. Featuring brand new material from nine of our artists, “Archive” is a collection of music that encapsulates our ethos - creating music that pushes the bar, with global sensibilities and fluid dance floor aesthetics. We are pleased to have worked with XLR8R for the premiere of this compilation, and they put it best - “When it comes to engaging record labels, it's tough to find a team that is more proactive than DIRTY//CLEAN...As a whole, the concept of Archive is imaginative, emotive, and intuitive.”

With a collection of music as varied and complex as our roster of artists, “Archive” is a sure-shot for both long-time fans of the label as well as newcomers. The release features the astonishing 3D art compositions of Belgian designer CREAM, who created a sleek, golden-tinted minimal cubic structure rendered over a series of beaming lights, the letters of "Archive" fastened to the top in asymmetrical lines. A transparent "D//C" floats suspended in the lower corner, laid over a smooth golden surface - a symbol of the cohesive community the DIRTY//CLEAN crew has created.

For the March installment of the DIRTY//CLEAN mix series, we are pleased to present a special “Archive” mix celebrating our most recent compilation, D//C017 - Archive.  Many of the tracks on this mix can be found in that collection, while others are selections from past releases as well as singles from recent memory.  We are looking forward to a great spring with everyone, and with that in mind we had to also look back as we recently took a serious blow to the electronic music scene in Denver with the passing of Matthew Brenderg, aka Dr. Derg. We are happy to bring you D//C018 - “Golden Era” by Lemon Future. Steele Kempton, aka Lemon Future, draws upon a multitude of influences to create music that is danceable, poetic, colorful and human. One of his main inspirations lies in the realm of visual art from the impressionist and surrealist era. Impressionism provides themes of immediate impulse and freedom, apparent through visible brush strokes. Kempton prefers to keep the compositional form of his music open to evolution, and includes audible human elements in his music, or audible brush strokes of sorts. He strives to make music that has an aura of human playfulness, combined with a surrealistic interpretation of club music. “Golden Era” finds him doing just that.
