We are back with a bang for 0.11 which comes from the talented Greek producer Kosmas. 

Miguel Puente (Hot Waves, No.19) & Low Tide (Touch of Class, Motek) are our two chosen remixers for this quality piece of work. 

Kosmas has not just delivered an amazing track, but a truly outstanding piece of music. The track takes you through waves of darkness and spiritual wellbeing, driving on throughout with a bumpy bassline to compliment, followed by a dark arp which is masked with eerie pads and small vocal snippets to round off this masterpiece. 

An amazing dubby style remix from Miguel Puente puts this track straight onto the dancefloors of the most prestigious clubs. Using just the harmonics of the main riff and some serious groove makes this remix something quite special. 

Low Tide finish the package off with hard hitting kick drums and clever bass patterns running from start to finish. Adding the spooky but raw nu disco style vibe to the track will put this at the very front of most music heads set lists.

A few years ago I did a remix of a track by Dominik Eulberg called Sansula, which featured an instrument of the same name. After the release a builder of sansula instruments in the Netherlands was kind enough to give me one as a present in case I wanted to use one again in a live recording, which I have finally got around to doing now with this track!

My process consisted of me sitting in my studio (badly) playing the thumb plucked sansula for quite a while, so that I could go back to the recording and pull out some useable loops as a starting point. I wanted a nice warm analogue chord progression to complement, but more in the high bass and low mids than my usual chord progression that's down really low, to fill the mix with the warmth as much as possible.

The track still needed something though, so I turned to some spare recordings of my favourite vocalist - Kathrin deBoer, from some of our previous recording sessions. I didn't want to go for the usual full lyrical approach of a vocal collab track, I just wanted to add some small snippets of human feeling to round off the track properly.

The release is coming out on Fields on the 1st of December along with an intense synth experiment with a Prophet 08, and beautiful remixes from David August and Throwing Snow.

I unfortunately lost my hard drive earlier this year, resulting in a lot of half finished projects being lost. I had a version of a track from my more deeper moniker 'Moffe', called Slip almost finished. Since its christmas and you have been asking about this track, here is Slip for free. Thanks for all the support this year, it means everything to me. See you all in 2015.

After Hours Mix

@landislapace was a fresh name that came across my radar when we premiered his track “The Heat” at the end of July. While the track landed on Main Course, the twisted bass growls sounded like it would’ve fit nicely on dirtybird. Now, the young Floridian is back with a recently released two-track EP on the Perfect Driver imprint. “Renaissance” is a bit darker than “The Heat” and dips into late-night techno territory. LaPace took to the decks at Nocturnal Wonderland last weekend in denim overalls, looking like a young Mac Demarco, and played a strong set well beyond his years. Although Los Angeles-based producer Matt Lange has been developing his own take on dark, driving, futurist house and techno for a half-decade now, the buzz around him kicked into overdrive after Mau5trap boss Deadmau5 publicly lauded his new material on Twitter and agreed to put out Lange's stellar album Ephemera, released this September. 

Now, THUMP has Matt Lange ON DECK, and the 50-minute selection is quite the dark journey. Bookended by Lange originals, the mix cheats a penchant for Drumcode with tracks by Sasha Carassi and Nicole Moudaber alongside tunes from Scuba and Oxia.
