We’re dipping back into the golden era hip hop well with our new mix series. We’re taking classic rhymes you all know and love and stacking them up against  an expansive, ambiguous collection of sounds we’re simply calling world funk.  

To jump start the series we have Dirt McGirt himself, Ol’ Dirty Bastard; who, by the way, will be portrayed by Michael Kenneth Williams, aka Omar from ‘The Wire’, in an upcoming biopic. We’ve combined ODB’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” with the deep funk grooves of  “Alligator Man”; courtesy of Japanese heavy funk outfit, Mocha Mountain Kilimanjaro. Custom made for those of you always on the lookout for rare grooves in the vein of the JBs.
