Caustic waves in each cluster crash down; surface tension fractures on impact... the corrosive liquid slips back into the deep; enduring, infinite. Tension re-engages, splitting the lull to restart the hypnotic cycle that craves finality.

"[The image] seems really tranquil at the back but it’s obvious that the foreground is hogging. Taken together, their interaction feels muddled to me... almost unstable. After a summer hiatus, we’re back to our guestmix series with Lyon-based project Jonnnah. Recently emerged from the abyss via a noteworthy debut-EP on Worst Records, the French Producer already distinguished himself with his own aesthetic, somewhere between emotive ambient, hyperrealistic textures, synths soarings and tumultuous drums, soon to be found on various labels.

For his Bamboo Show, Jonnnah took off from undisclosed lakes, skimming their surface for an aery, celestial hour of abstract waves and delicate lyricism. A few rhythmical drops disrupt these plain stretches of water, just to highlight the beauty of their usual undying stillness.
