Richard West, known as Mr. C, is an English house music DJ, producer and rapper. The resident DJ at the early acid house "RIP" nights at Clink Street, London, co-owner/co-founder of London's The End nightclub, frontman for The Shamen during their most commercially successful era and Superfreq label co-owner plays a great acid house set for Set For Love Xmas Appeal campaign.

The Set For Love Xmas Appeal was launched on World Children’s Day 20th November and runs until 31st December. DJ’s of all levels are invited to get involved by sharing a set or hosting an event to help raise funds for children and families in need in developing countries. Funds raised will give the gift of education and training for children as well as feeding hungry families at Xmas and much more. Introducing our next Sister of Sound - AMELIA LACKMANN

Melbourne-based DJ, designer, visual artist and long-time dance floor devotee - cutting her teeth at Melbourne’s underground institution Killing Time in 2013, she grew to become a regular fixture on the techno bar’s line-ups. Amelia has since developed a distinct palette of uplifting beats and a reputation for energising dance floors with good vibrations across a number of events and venues. 

Her unwavering passion for music and rave culture has seen her artistic work spread across several Melbourne venues and festivals including The Liberty Social, Curtin House, Section 8, Let Them Eat Cake, My Aeon and most recently, as a producer of Festival No.23.

Amelia weaves through an extensive understanding of electronic music in this mix, drawing on tribal drum pattern elements with techno-like synth sounds.. curated to push and pull you through this extended journey.

*Who and what inspires you and influences your sound?*

I think all music that is surrounding me like rock ‘n’ roll, reggae, new rap artists and also dance music I like to play in my DJ sets.

*Can you tell us a little about this mix and the idea behind it?*

I tried to make a good balance between my old and new tracks. Doing this kind of mix was a great view on all my work from 2009 till now. I'm really happy to see that i'm very satisfied with all my releases.
