Life is a pretty unexpected and weird fairy tale. When we first met the guys from @pandhora in Paris back in May and invited them to Armenia and they agreed to come, no one really believed such a thing could actually happen, no matter how sincere all of us were. And then out of nowhere, they came and spent three weeks here, and just like @vikenarman - who is more of a host at Rambalkoshe rather than a guest - they lived and felt and created a special set for us in our studio. Now that several days have passed, it’s becoming more and more believable, although we did live in a fairy tale in those days. Thank you, guys, for writing the soundtrack to that fairy tale.

For me music is all about creating a journey and although you can create a journey in a track itself, or in a one hour podcast, 3 hours and 33 minutes is giving you the opportunity to take this journey to a whole other level. In order to make this special I dove deep into my music library. There are a lot tracks in this journey that have been favorites for a while. But I have also been focusing on tracks that shaped me before I was DJing. Most mixes I make consist of a lot of new music, but this journey, especially the last part, consists of tracks that are very dear to me and had a big impact on my life. These tracks opened up my eyes to what was possible in music, and moreover, to what music was doing to me. Listening to the these tracks triggers a deep feeling of gratitude. Gratitude for the incredible journey music has given me. 

But this mix is not just about the past, it is also showcasing where I’m heading. It includes a lot of new unreleased work. The last months have been rather unusual and that has given me opportunity to really think about where I want to go. Moreover it has given me the time to experiment, explore and engage in new projects. This has created a musical vision that is not limited to the clubbing scene. I want to create music that resonates.

Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series!

On this edition, we welcome @krautmusica

KR∆UT is the moniker of Amsterdam’s household name Daniel Zuur. With this alter ego he’s bound to bring his audience a flux of world music influenced electronica, different tempo’s and lots of percussion.   Daniel has been a staple in the Amsterdam club scene since 2009. His unique sound and organic mixes have earned him a name in the alternative electronic music scene, as his sets have been attributed to being melancholic, dynamic but above all, deeply melodic.  
Haunted by the drums and his experience as a drummer in several bands, Daniel has developed an exceptional rhythm and sound that no label will do justice. 

As KR∆UT he released on labels like Shika Shika, Wonderwheel Recordings, Metanoia, Cosmic Awakenings, Tropical Twista Records and recently on new label The Other Eye where he got remixed by sir Acid Pauli.  The producer composes sets that exist in their own singularity; every single one being an individual story that creates its own atmosphere. 

Every set is textured by a whole variety of original tracks that he adapts with precise care and proper timing live on stage: dialogues, natural sounds and warm beats, all treated into a highly dynamic and unique set. He also played live at national and international clubs, festivals such as: Sisyphos, Fusion Festival, Gardens of Babylon, Wildeburg, Marktkantine, Garbicz and Welcome to the Future.
