As 2024 draws to a close, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who joined us on the Hours London journey this year. It has been a transformational time, filled with original sounds, new ways of interacting with spaces and music, deepening friendships, and many lessons along the way.

To show our appreciation to our closest members, we hosted a secret gathering earlier this month, soundtracked by some of our talented friends: Gently, Trixie, Alia Indigo & sEmoa. Together, they came up with a beautiful musical story, defiant of genre and based on artistic expression.

We're excited to share a special moment from this event with you - a recording of Alia Indigo & sEmoa's collaborative set, featuring predominantly their own unreleased productions.

We hope this mix brings you the same excitement it brought us, and we can't wait to share more moments like this, together in 2025.

"S3BA and sEmoa’s ambient / experimental hybrid performance recorded live at Hours is a delicate experience of music through layers of intricate textures, expansive ambiances fused with improvised sound design. The set unfolds akin to a meditation: slow-burning, emotionally resonant, all encompassing. It explores liminal spaces between stillness and movement, intimacy and vastness, derived from the interplay between sound curation and live improvisation. Mixed tracks are chosen by S3BA with live elements improvised by sEmoa over the emotional journey."

Makaan resident S3BA is a trans*disciplinary musician, radio host, and artist whose individual
practice spans DJing, live performance, flute, and vocals. With a sound that weaves the ethereal with the political, transcendent and confronting, her multi-genre approach creates a blend that takes the dancefloor on a mind bending journey. In addition to solo performances in the UK and Internationally, she also hosts a monthly slot on Netil Radio with MYTO and is part of Trans+ performance trio SEMARA who recently showcased their multimodal work Eclose at the new V&A East Storehouse. @s_e_ba

this set encapsulates the lived experience of a flow state - an introspective and abstract journey through minimal, techno, dub and stripped-back experimental music. 
built from long blends, it layers hints of psychedelia with rolling percussion, deep lows, and organic yet glitch-like textures. 

a vulnerable expression of the self in all its forms, it moves in waves, it's rich in contrast, caught in a perpetual game between restraint and release. my preference leans towards the odd, the weird, sounds which evoke altered states of being, with an emphasis on space and the subtle interplay of elements.

We are truly pleased to announce the second trip of our prodcast series featuring Romanian, UK Based DJ and producer sEmoa.

He will showcase a one hour mix of his own productions only. His experimental sound ranges from minimal to breakbeat, electro to acid, projecting seamless blends into a new, original sonic universe. sEmoa's vision shines through deep, industrial basslines, evolving atmospheres fused with groovy percussion.

His tracks were previously supported by some well known names such as CaLLy, Prichindel, Charlie and Mihigh, rapidly becoming a rising star of the rominimal community.
