While on tour in Europe in 2017, I was missing my girlfriend pretty bad. Rolling through Germany, dozing in the back of the tour bus, I dreamed of her and I trying to rob a train on stolen Dutch horses. I came back home and married her.

My father's uncles Burton and Bill taught him about livelihood and survival by the river. Uncle Burton also killed two men for stealing his boat, and he threw their bodies down the neighbor's well. Not far from where that happened, my father taught my brothers and I some of the ways of the Brazos.
