Some times the music just magically comes out, and that is the case here with "Syria" by new Sol*Selectas artist Unders from Amsterdam. After several successful tunes above the 120 BPM mark on labels like Sincopat and Groove On, "Syria" was Unders' first attempt at slower grooves, and an accidental experiment that just "fell into place, and was automatic magic". Syria's current political unrest is all over the news and social media, and the story being painted is difficult to watch. Driven to create a song which goes against all the negative publicity, Unders says "between all the negativity, the more i looked into the situation, the country, its people and its culture, the more this track reminded me of so much beauty the media doesn’t portray." The song itself a slow minimal trip with chopped up guitar licks, a gorgeous flute sample that takes the listener to far off desert lands, and features the vocals of Veerle.  Satori is yet another up and coming producer from the Netherlands, gaining instant recognition sharing the stage and studio with Acid Pauli, and producing incredible tunes utilizing live instruments played by himself, and tastefully incorporating these with electronic elements. His remix preserves the original message of "Syria" lowering the BPM to an even more hypnotic 104 BPMs. Satori adds middle eastern strings and chords, swapping out the original vocal for a more Saharan inspired call, and even plays delicately with some acid sounds furthering the listeners journey.  
Both songs are meant to invoke peaceful images of Syria, and conjure up positive intention on the dance floor. Sol*Selectas is very excited to present the debut song "Syria" from Unders, and the amazing remix by Satori,  two artists from the Netherlands you would do well to keep your eyes and ears open to in 2016.

After a busy eighteen months promoting his debut album, Essex-hailer Max Chapman brings us his La Fiesta EP on Hot Creations. The title track features alongside remixes by the versatile Luca Cazal and house veteran Todd Terry.

With Latin vibes from the outset, Max has encompassed the essence of The White Isle. La Fiesta is a  migration of percussion, chanting and melodic vocals and flirtatious basslines. Luca Cazal has turned up the kick and brings an old school vibe with his remix. Todd Terry’s energetic arrangement of snares and bongos compliments the provencal vocal perfectly.

Since his arrival on the scene six years ago, Max Chapman has released on an abundance of labels including VIVa, Toolroom and last years Body Jack on Elrow, that achieved number one status across all genres on Beatport. Established in 2012, his imprint Resonance Records provides a platform for the freshest talent in underground tech-house. Max’s album Catch Me If You Can, released last year, received a notable 9/10 in both Mixmag and DJ Mag.

Luca Cazal has been steadily rising up the ranks since his debut release on Crosstown Rebels in 2013. Constantly refining his production skills, Luca transmits positive emotions with every track he releases. After three decades on the scene, Grammy-nominated Legend Todd Terry has continued to release  superior productions and entertain crowds worldwide.

Key UK house player Richy Ahmed is next up on Play It Say It with a standout two track EP that proves just why he is such an essential talent.

Ahmed is currently in the headlines for his Four Thirty Two label, which has put out some of his own great music and will A&R plenty from his peers in the future. It has also spawned a big party in Ibiza at Privilege, and has hosted events from Glasgow's Sub Club to Leeds' Mint Club. All this comes after years of Richy headlining all over the world and working with labels like Hot Creations and Crosstown Rebels. Now really into his stride as a producer, his latest is sure to rock 'floors worldwide.

Up first is the big and bombastic 'Kimalaya' with its tribal tinged and jumbled beats and big woodblock hits. Wordless chants also join the groove, and the looseness of the whole thing is what will ensure it really gets the dancefloor going. Add in diving bass notes and some clever breakdowns and you have a sure-fire recipe for success.

Just as infectious is 'Come With Us', a more nimble and peak time tune with lively synths darting and jumping about above techno leaning drums. It's a freaky cut with inventive synth patterns that really gets under your skin as it rumbles on.

With these latest tracks Richy Ahmed once again offers up some truly fresh house perspectives.

Back and fresh on the release circuit for 2k18 is Berlin-based Jose Antonio Garcia Soler, better known to his friends and followers by his artistic nom de guerre KID SIMIUS. The KID proudly presents his FLASHBACK EP, a heartwarming monster of a single featuring no-one less than the beloved band outfit KILNAMANA comprised of Enda Gallery and KID SIMIUS' brother Miguel Garcia Soler. After two cameo appearances on our Showcase Series (Volumes 4 & 6), Namito now returns for a starring role of his own making with the 'Anakeys' EP. 

For the uninitiated, the Iranian born, Berlin based producer is quite the team player, working behind the scenes on many a wide-ranging project from Marc Romboys lauded live orchestral shows to engineering for the legendary Grandmaster Flash!

It's two solo creations though that form the basis of this EP with the title track leading from the front. A prime example of a tune that works its way into the subconscious unannounced and then stubbornly refuses to budge. A humdinger if ever there was one! 

The 'Anakeys' remixes then come from two fertile hotspots of electronic music, Berlin and Brighton via Kling Klong boss Martin Eyerer and long time friend of the label, Just Her who both bring their A-games with reworks of a truly high calibre. 

And finally, not to be overlooked, were also very proud to include 'Little Cheat Treats' just for good measure. A bonus track that on any other occasion could easily have commanded top billing. For many, this may even prove to be a show stealer. You decide.

What started as a civilized chat and a friendly music exchange at a mobilee warehouse showcase in London, ultimately became a record deal for the Argentinean born DJ/Producer, Pablo Ranacat, better known as Ranacat. 

It's notably his style that makes this fresh face another dazzling and unique charm to the mobilee outfit. In his 10 years in London, he's established a reputable name as one of the cities most sought after promoters. Ranacat's beats fill out popular warehouse parties such as Toi Toi, Exstatic Sounds and his residency at Select*Elect. If anyone knows how to evolve with the times without losing that classic touch, it's Ranacat and his
