Originally from Georgia, Irakli’s early descent into the German capital has seen him corner and develop a side of the local scene and turn it into something of an international fare. Five years ago he created STAUB, one of Berlin’s most celebrated techno parties. As a part of the production duo I/Y, he has been releasing music under the synonymous co-founded label. But most of all, Irakli’s craft behind the decks has been weighed upon by the likeliest of Berlin’s underground venues, namely Tresor, Berghain and Griessmuehle, with his vision of electronic music taken further afield in Europe, and the Americas. In 2017 he founded the Intergalactic Research Institute for Sound with artists like Stanislav Tolkachev, Natalie Beridze, Rezo Glonti and many others. 

Irakli also heads up a burgeoning convey diving into exploratory concepts of ambient, hued by the tones and colors of his homeland, Georgia. Adding orchestral collaborations and sound installations to a field of work outside of the club, Irakli’s expanding platforms and industrious connection to Berlin has seen his entry point into the scene now serve as an outlet into the more abstract, experimental realms of techno. With new endeavors afoot and a creative repertoire to boot, Irakli’s DJ sets, labels and parties always display unique qualities. It does not matter whether he is exploring beatless soundscapes or high energy techno music, Irakli always manages to create something special. - CGNY wholeheartedly agrees!

Irakli At Mother's Finest - Griessmuehle

João Rodrigues began his love affair with music early on. After learning the guitar at a young age, he enrolled at a local Jazz school where he studied instruments and musical theory for two years. At 18 he pursued higher education into Sound and Image at ESAD university, quickly bumping into electronic music. Soon after he became enthralled with sequenced music, citing Aphex Twin, Amon Tobin, Boards Of Canada, Noisia and Extrawelt as some of his early influences.

After completing his degree in 2009, he created his Drum ’n’ Bass project, Medio, that would see him play throughout the country, and even earning him an European mixing prize. Always eager to learn more, João took his musical education further when he began his Masters in Musical Arts and Technology. It was during this period that his interest in Techno music began to spark, and also where his now established moniker, Temudo, was thought out.

As Temudo he joined the Dead Motion Records crew, alongside Low Is and UFO19, carving out his first EP in 2014. Validation from the underground ensued when his “Longe” track was played on the Deep Space Helsinki radio show by Finnish techno stalwart Juho Kusti. In 2016 he put out two EP’s that would see his music spread quickly into the speakers of clubs and festivals. Released on Modulhertz and Planet Rhythm, these tracks were played by the likes of Exium, Umek, Hyperactive, and Emmanuel Top.

Doubling down on his release schedule, he put out four EP’s the next year. The first, on Modulhertz, was pressed on vinyl and included a remix by the legendary The Advent. The second, another on Planet Rhythm, made it into Beatport’s Top 100 Techno Releases. The third, in collaboration with fellow artist VIL, was released on Damon Wild’s renowned Synewave. Artists such as Rødhåd, Adriana Lopez, Blue Hour, and Ben Sims, are just some of the DJ’s to play the tracks. His last EP of the year, released on Affekt Recordings, also roared through the international ranks, with artists like Cleric, Rødhåd, The Advent, and Setaoc Mass playing it out.

Temudo’s most recent creation, with VIL, -2 and Osse, is Hayes, a collective focused on showcasing the distinct output of its artists through vinyl and digital releases. Their first two releases has put them well on the map, with several big guns supporting the tracks. His latest releases set the bar higher, participating in Herdersmat Part 19-22, by MORD, Sacred Deer and Hereditary EP in EarToGround and VA planed for Planet Rhythm and Invite’s Choice. Temudo's first LP Do Nothing And Be Wrong is now out via AWRY, and once again with the likes of the major Key players of the scene. He is now one of the most important Portuguese techno artists of a new generation.

Born into an East-German family of artists, Stefan Rein experienced the world of music, especially within the theater scene, from early on. After many years of classic piano lessons during his childhood and youth, he devoted himself to electronic music in the early 1990s, when Hardcore became his first passion and Bunker-Tapes were deemed his collectables. The most crucial experience for Stefan, however, was the opening of the „GERBEREI“ in 1994, the oldest techno club in Mecklenburg, which should become the basis for all his future developments.

After countless hauls through proper record stores as well as socializing and establishing contacts in the regional music scene, he started to launch his own party projects - with joining EASYTRAXX Recordstore and GERBEREI as a co-operator, a solid base was established for the following years.

While meeting high musical demands, it is Stefans topmost crado to electrify and carry away the guests of the club. His sound is confrontational, in a special way his dedication to solid beats fills the room with sincere, genuine techno. Beyond any specific codification, fixed boundaries or stereotypical build-ups, his sets establish a new relationship energy between DJ and audience. As a Resident Stefan was an inherent part of the GERBEREI in Schwerin - he shared his understanding of techno not only with those who want to listen to music but with those who want to interpret it. Being yourself is always the result of interaction with others. For Stefan, the friendships that formed over the years within the scene are both anchor and catalyzer at the same time.

„Techno unites.“

After moving into a new domicile in Schwerin with his company ''newspeak-RAW'', Stefan fulfilled a long-cherished dream with the foundation of his record label'' PURE''. Outputs with Blind Observatory, Avion, Leytonstone and Orion were well received. The releases appeared as limited editions and exclusively in vinyl.

Within the last few years more heartfelt projects followed - „PURE TRAXX'' und ''Stress Research'' took root and have lately come up with acts like Andre Kronert, Alex Do, Distant Echoes, Ron Albrecht and Matrixxman. Stefans musical ideas are becoming more and more shaped. Progress is the realization of utopias - time will tell.
