Our next listening session comes from local girl, dj and friend Zinha. Luísa when it's time to get serious. 

  Luisa belongs to a new generation of local djs, but not a new-thing neither a “new kid on the block” as we see it. A girl with a subtle on development and educated music taste and someone who has been pursuing a place within the local electronic scene, step by step. 
A “schooled” and hardworking person who has been polishing her skills behind the decks by playing regularly, making it by and for herself, whether is at a local bar or for a fancy “social” club residency, from private parties and pop up places to casually at the local records hubs such as Amor Records or Collect. She’s dedicated she’s getting involved and she’s out there playing. She earns her own and is actively buying records, expanding her sonorities. 

A much friendly and sweet character with great presence who easily gets along with everybody, someone whose surrounded potential made her already score some presences at the biggest Lisbon clubs such as Lux Frágil or Ministerium Club and other dance floors.

 We’re happy to see her around, to be meeting her thru time and counting with her participation, by playing at our sub project Ar Livre every edition now and more recently at our latest Anexo party, warming it up perfectly. A person who is open to talking, sharing insights, and, party. She’s a good type for THE practice. 
  We welcome her to our series and here you will find a big part of what she is so far. Traveling from minimal to breaks, influenced to techno that's how she says “hello”

Robert Babicz remix of Andre Sobota 'Triangles', forthcoming as part of the 'Triangles' EP.

The 39th release on microCastle welcomes Andre Sobota back to the label for his third EP in the last four years. The Brazilian producer has continued to impress since his hugely successful 'Surrounded By Time' EP from the summer of 2012. Andre's unique melodic sound has been enchanting electronic music fans ever since and he continues to be a favourite of Above and Beyond, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Eric Prydz and Pete Tong. Andre's new EP for microCastle is entitled 'Triangles' and includes 3 brand new original productions alongside remixes from: Robert Babicz, Microtrauma and James Teej.

The EP begins with the title cut 'Triangles' which would have to be one of Andre's standout melodic compositions to date. Led by some of this year's most sun drenched harmonies along with a dynamic groove and ethereal sonics it's sure to be a standout for the summer season. The lone remix of 'Triangles' is provided by Robert Babicz who is making his first appearance on microCastle. The Polish born Germany based producer has been one of the most influential artists over the course of his long and storied career in electronic music. Robert’s discography is full of impeccably produced classics like ‘Dark Flower’ and ‘Remote Kiss’ along with many others which all stand the test of time remarkable well. He’s updated some of electronic music’s most revered classic’s like Hardfloor ‘Acperience 1′ and Cybordelics ‘Adventures of Dama’ which both appeared on Harthouse over 20 years ago. More recently Robert has several stellar productions released courtesy of John Digweed's Bedrock records and his own Babiczstyle imprint. For his 'Triangles' interpretation Robert has transformed Andre's smooth and serene original into a funky, tech house bomb. The main motifs have been conveyed in a more subversive way and the end result is a groovy melodic cut that's perfect for your summer dance floors.

The second original 'Morning Lust' sees Andre with another unique progressive techno production. Irresistible hooks, a grinding groove and haunting motifs all wrapped in a lo-fi approach make for another standout melodic production. The lone interpretation of 'Morning Lust' is provided by Microtrauma who are returning to microCastle for their second appearance. The German duo who are renowned for their detailed sound first appeared on the Canadian behemoth in April of 2012 with a remix of Cid Inc & Lank's 'Emotional Self'. Subsequent appearances on Herzblut Recordings, Sudbeat and Traum have highlighted the duos discography in recent years and they've turned in a cutting edge interpretation of 'Morning Lust' here. Microtrauma has stripped the track down into a lean and exhilarating melodic techno construction. The duos fluid energy is renowned and once again on point here with waves of sonic details firing through the mix. A chain of feedback thematics during the main break proves to be a highlight and gives the track an even more distinct sonic aesthetic.
