Solid Steel (14th November)  Catching Flies opens the show this week with a lush mix to ease you into the weekend. The London producer already has a few acclaimed EP's and remixes under his belt and supported Bonobo on his European tour this year. His mix opens with Chick Corea, Kazi on Stones Throw, Jon Hopkins and the Moods remix of his track 'Sunrays' from The Stars EP. Then it's into Letherette, Dirg Gerner, Caribou and his beautiful collaboration with Ifan Daffyd, before closing with recent guests Werkha and Maribou State. A record that aims to draw from talents beyond their regular (and exceptional) pool of talents. The folks who have really been getting them excited recently. 

This track comes to you courtesy of Golden Teacher, who H+P hail as "the best band to come from Glasgow in years!", and we could be inclined to agree to be honest.

Live at Robert Johnson returns with the second instalment of their Lifesaver compilations. Summoning artists from their base of Frankfurt, the comp enlists the much lauded talents of Orson Wells, Lauer, Portable and more. Obviously the 'more' also includes Sir Roman of Flügel, who you can hear above on "Tender Hooligan". Just as good as the oxymoronic title.

Spencer Boiler Room Glasgow X Numbers DJ Set

It feels like DC microwaved his MicroKorg to create "Trilingual Dance Sexperience", a track that reminds of an endlessly monumental pitchbend orgy without any barrier of language. A tune that gets people to go bonkers once the chords hit in, characterized by its pleasing silliness with the accurate rave attitude.

No surprise it already got rinsed by Mark Pritchard, Kode9, Martyn and Hudson Mohawke and heard on Gilles Peterson’s WorldWide and Mary-Anne-Hobbs’s Experimental. Also Side B with its "Tropical Hands" follows the same recipe of face melting floor music while keeping that Detroit flavour.
