Discotexas continue to raise the bar as a tastemaker label through the signing of fresh artist Klin Klop and her 'Lua Nova’ EP.

The title track, set to drop earlier than the full EP, is an instant attention grabber through truly unique timbres and creativity, powered by a vast selection of instrumentation and clever writing showcasing a masterclass in ambience.

‘Klã’ follows as part of the collection, raising the groove levels through punchy basslines and echoing percussive flurries, all of which laid effortlessly over a rich house foundation.

Closing the three part debut release is ‘Big Thing’ once again maintaining the marching drum loops and rich synth flavours across the entirety to complete an impressive first offering.

A high-class German exponent of techno and underground house, Luc Angenehm has provided a rich source of musical nutrition with his work for Proton Music. Two original EPs lit up 2016 as "Sendher" now receives a quartet of new remixes over two releases. The first sees UK and Italian/Canadian stars work their production magic on Angenehm's sounds.

The colourful collaborative pairing of Italian and Canadian origins has seen Christopher Tooker and Shawna Hoffman take their KMLN production soubriquet to a myriad of successes. Both highly regarded in their respective fields of production, additional skill sets see Tooker as a talented musician and Hoffman a renowned fashion designer. Coming together as KMLN, their constant innovation and diverse sounds has seen them deliver DJ sets to expectant crowds across the globe in a musical collage, where "organic meets modern" and "future meets past". Mainland Europe, west coast USA and a two-month tour of Mexico have all played host to the varied and colourful sounds that have seen the duo continually adapt to the ever-changing musical landscape at festivals such as "Burning Man", making their artistic name so apposite.

An exciting production career has followed in tandem with music signed to Crosstown Rebels, Touch of Class and Luca Bacchetti's Endless. Furthermore, a growing number of production credits has seen KMLN feature on the best-selling Sol Selectas imprint as part of the number one "Summer Sol" release in June and the highly successful "Salibu" EP in October 2016. Making a welcome debut on Proton Music, the KMLN remix of "Sendher" is a highly intelligent reworking, full of dynamic rhythmic intricacies and a rich, vivid sound palette. Combining rhythm and melody to masterful effect, interspersed with distorted effects and vocal cuts, clever use of Luc Angenehm's original components make the KMLN rework a remix to savour.

A man at the forefront of the modern underground scene in multiple capacities, Dan Orsen is a musical tour de force. Fully ensconced in his adopted Austrian homeland, UK born, Orsen, has seen his distinctive brand of music find its way to the forefront of the scene in double quick time. Using a variety of production techniques to create his unique sound staging, field recordings and painstaking sonic design are staples of his production palette. In a short career thus far, Orsen has already found his music reaching the catalogues of celebrated imprints: Perspectives Digital, Optimized and Sudbeat, where the five-track "Komorebi" EP for the latter provided him with a number one spot on Beatport's Progressive House Top 100. Furthermore, the "Look Twice" EP for Replug afforded Orsen with an opportunity to co-manage the label, working closely with boss, Cid Inc.

A 2016 regular on Particles, not least through the musical triptych that made up the "Elysium" EP, a single remix in the shape of Mondkrater's "Mercury" is now complemented by a remix of "Sendher". Using his diverse range of production skills and techniques, Orsen has created a rich and textured environment from which clicking offbeat percussion marries seductively with strong beat and subterranean bass line. Shimmering melodic lines glisten like sonic shards across the eight-minute voyage, reaching a zenith at the mid-point breakdown, as white-noise effect and elegant rhythmic groove in the third movement create an imaginative and compelling work.

Receiving two new remixes from KMLN and Orsen, Luc Angenehm's, "Sendher" is just getting started.
