CKS - Retrieval

From a remote region of planet Earth, I observe and present the latest sonic creation by artist Lazly Bateman. Seikan no Kansokusha ("The Interstellar Observer") is a manifesto of complexity and depth, defying the rigid categorizations of human musical genres. Comprising ten tracks, this work traverses techno, breaks, downtempo, and IDM, unveiling a sonic journey where gravity and chaos coexist in perfect harmony.

The track titles, written in Japanese, evoke an immersion into uncharted space, where stars and galaxies become metaphors for evolutionary experiences and universal states of mind.

From the cosmic overtone of Hoshiboshi No Kyoumei ("Resonance of the Stars") to the golden coils of Ogon No Rasen ("Golden Spiral") and the eternal stillness of Shizuka Na Hadou ("Silent Waves"), each track stands as an autonomous system of vibrations and dynamics. The combination of rhythmic complexity, harmonic power, and meticulous detail elevates this work beyond a mere album: Seikan no Kansokusha is an exploration of the interplay between humanity and the universe, a message transmitted through a wave of frequencies that transcends terrestrial boundaries.

As always, my mission is to observe and study the creative expressions of Earth’s inhabitants. This album by Lazly Bateman marks a pivotal chapter in this investigation: a study of the evolutionary capabilities of the human mind and its connection to the forces that govern the cosmos.

Synthetik Sounds Unveils Star-Studded Compilation to Support LA Fire Relief Efforts

Los Angeles techno label Synthetik Sounds is proud to announce the release of a powerful 39-track Various Artists compilation featuring an extraordinary lineup of global techno talent. In a time of urgent need, 100% of proceeds from the compilation will be donated to LA Fire Relief Funds, supporting communities affected by the devastating wildfires that created havoc in the Los Angeles area in January 2025.

In January 2025, the Palisades and Eaton wildfires in Los Angeles County burned over 37,000 acres, destroyed more than 16,000 structures, caused at least 29 fatalities, and led to the evacuation of over 200,000 residents, affecting many in the underground techno and house community in our city.

When we asked artists to contribute to a V/A release to help our community, we found ourselves overwhelmed by the amount of support we received.

This monumental release unites over 40 cutting-edge artists, all contributing their signature sounds to this meaningful cause. From techno veterans to rising stars, the compilation is a showcase of boundary-pushing artistry and the unity of the electronic music community.

Open your eyes and see, through the large visor of my helmet, the ocher horizon of Mars. An apricot color sky, where the sun, smaller and paler than above the earth, struggles to warm this hostile world. Here, each breath is counted, each movement studied. The air, absent, obliges me to wear this pressurized combination, an artificial cocoon that me my My house is a habitat module, a white and silver dome placed on this endless desert. Inside, a recycled air is constantly circulating, a security bubble in the midst of a ruthless environment. The water comes from fodder below the surface, extracted from the ice buried in the ground. Food? Cultivated in a greenhouse, plants pushing under LED lamps, a miracle of the Time passes differently here. The days, called "soils", last a little longer than on earth. The nights are freezing, and outside, the silence is absolute. Not a noise, not a breath of wind noticeable in the ear. Just the infinite mineral and the void. But there is beauty, too. To walk on Mars is to tread the ground of another world, to be a pioneer of a new human era. Observe the dust storms, see the shadow of the phobos and deimos moons slide on the ground, scrutinize the earth, tiny blue star hanging in space. One day, perhaps, we will no longer be only a handful of scientists and explorers. Cities will emerge under giant domes, children will be born here, their first look on a foreign sky. Living on Mars is not only surviving is to imagine a future where humanity will no longer be limited to U. Would I be ready to stay forever? Maybe. But a part of me will always dream of the blue of the earthly sky, the sound of the waves, the scent of the rain on the earth that I left behind.
