We are cat lovers but also music lovers, so we really like to compile special and unusual music for this kind of releases, showing you a new musical path plus some upcoming talents.

Ačas

Swampy and dark, but intense and rhythmical. That is how Paulius Ačas is suggesting us to spend our evening. He stood behind the DJ mixer for the first time six years ago at school's dance party. All through this time Ačas music style was changing a lot. A lot of influence had events in Opium, especially event "Smala". Right now Dj is positioned between electronic and light techno. At this moment he is based in Taurage, where he is one of the resident and DJ's of party series called "Kambarys". So lets close our room doors and put the volume up.

Klampiai, tamsiai, bet ritmingai ir intensyviai. Taip praleisti vakarą mums siūlo Paulius Ačas, kuris už pulto pirmą kartą stojo prieš šešerius metus, kuomet vadovavo mokyklos diskotekai. Per visą šį laikotarpį Ačo muzikinis stilius labai keitėsi ir palaipsniui formavosi. Tam nemažai įtakos turėjo vakarėliai Opium‘e, ypač Smala. Dabar didžėjus save pozicionuoja tarp electronicos ir švelnesnio techno. Šiuo metu vaikinas veikia Tauragėje – ten su dideliu vietiniu palaikymu rezidentuoja vakarėlių seriją „Kambarys“. Taigi, uždarom kambario duris ir pasigarsinam!

Masta Ace is in the house. The New York rap legend, originally part of the famed Juice Crew in the mid-80s (with Marley Marl, Biz Markie, Big Daddy Kane among others), is known for collaborations with artists such as MF Doom, for influencing rappers like Eminem, and is still known as one of the truest rappers alive. Ace made a teenage dream come true for Cord when he recorded an original feature part and hook on top of the soulful club joint ‚Good Old Feel‘.

The scratch & sample workout and the handcut artwork of this release is paying hommage to ‚A Long Hot Summer‘ (2004), one of his many timeless storytelling LPs, where Ace writes reminiscent rhymes in his natural habitat of Brownsville, Brooklyn but is organically relocated into the streets of Berlin Kreuzberg - right next to the good old Robosonic studios, birthplace of ‚Golden Era House‘. This unreleased Black Out version is now boasting the full vocal performance, while the extended 12inch dub was made for the clubs and pressed on vinyl earlier.

Diskjockey and producer based in Vilnius. The roots come from the Žiežmarsas festival held in 2017, the year everyting started rolling and the place where all the lucidity happened. Like clockwork running parties at bar 90aštunti in Vilnius. Boil Express is the identity and the project we are shaping with my dj booth colleague Mickus where we invite local booming youngsters to demolish walls of the small, but an artistically rich bar. Keep in mind that this lasting event is just at its beginning and eventually will catch you dancing at some point in the future.
