A Myth Of The Far Future

This is another track in my work-in-progress album "Sleep, My Boy" (2024), to appear by the end of this year. In it, my idea is to collect only this and another already released track, "Sleep, My Boy", but each of them will have a full, electro-symphonic version as well as acoustic versions.

The track was composed in GarageBand iOS spontaneously in the early morning of 19 September 2024 and mixed and arranged in Logic Pro on 29 September 2024. It was released here on SoundCloud on 19 October 2024.

The composition was inspired by my recently-born gorgeous grandson, while he was far away from me for long, travelling with his family. Apart from this electro-symphonic version, it also has 3 "acoustic" versions - the initial one for piano and the subsequent ones, respectively, for strings and for synthesisers: I intend to post these versions too as tracks coming later in the same album.

The artwork cover for the track as well as for the album uses a photo I took on 3 July 2024 that I cropped and annotated in Mac OS Preview on 17 August 2024.

I'm probably in the middle of a bad wave in real life. I guess it's called a slump. I hope everyone is doing well, though I know we all go through hard times and bad times periodically. Thanks for reading. Also, I'm glad you're interested in my music.

Lately, the 8-string guitar has become an integral part of my songs. I don't know how long I can keep this style going, but I try to do interesting things in my songs whenever possible. Strumming the bass strings in the clean tones is one example, but I don't actually use the bass guitar in that part. In other parts I play the bass guitar myself, of course.

Thank you for finding my little corner on SC. I make music mostly for fun, as a hobby producer.

The plugins used varys from time to time, but mainly work in Vital. Most of my samples are from Cymatics, a shoutout to them 👍. 

I have been making music a few years now, but only posting on SC from late 2024. Personally i like all types of music, but EDM and metal is my go to generes.

I am not much of a vocalist, but are always looking out for talented people for a possible collab. May also mix/master if the oppurtunity is there.
