First track of the summer! It only took about 2 days. I decided to do some more retrowave sprinkled with modern stuff.

Now that I'm done with finals and school this year, I can do a lot more stuff for the next 2 months.

I recently found out about an old free plugin called DtBlkFx that you can use to directly mess around with harmonics so i decided to download it. Also got CamelCrusher and at least a couple other freeware plugins to mess around with.

Look forward to more tracks sometime fairly soon hopefully, as well as my EP.

so this song has an interesting story behind it. for my music class, my teacher decided to give our class an in-class assignment to compose a song and share it at the end of class. i composed alone and *tried* to show the class a song project i had started in fl studio over the projector, but i had too many difficulties and the period was over and a lot of the class was leaving when i finally got it working, and i was pretty upset that only like half of them had heard even like 25 seconds of what i made.

so i evolved it mostly over the first few days of spring break from the 45 seconds or so that i already had at the end of that class period, but it took a lot longer than that to actually get it to the point where it was done, and a lot of it was due to me being busy with work for various things.

i usually use all my own samples (whether i recorded them, synthesized them, or both), but for this song, the piano came from a plugin called City Piano, which i believe is a free, sample-based plugin. i then put some delay and bitcrushing and etc. over it. hope it doesn't sound too much like trash

This is the fourth and final song of my debut EP. The EP took a huge amount of time to finish and along with the cover and many of the other things directly relating to it, has been one of the biggest music projects of mine that I have ever done. And since I had the chance, I also chose for the main release date to be my birthday.

Before I even started on any of these songs, I originally did the cover as a school graphic design project, but even at the time, wanted it to be the cover of my actual EP. I later submitted it to the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, which is this thing for middle- and high-schoolers and if you place nationally, you get to go to Carnegie Hall and stuff. This cover got an honorable mention at the state level, so that's kinda cool I guess.

Also, this was mostly mastered by my cousin Elliot, although I think I'm gonna still be mastering a lot of my own music myself. And I actually did a full-on all rights reserved copyright on these tracks so if you're gonna use these, then PAY UP (maybe)

Hey, I finally finished a new song today! I did the piano part for this track on an actual keyboard, then changed it and quantized it a bit. I'm not playing a piano irl here, but I used a VST which I believe uses samples, so I guess it's still technically a real piano.

The vocal samples were from a project between me and @joze_umibe, a singer and producer from Japan, and were used with permission.

Rushed the cover art for this because I wanted to get this out on Newgrounds before 9 PM today, but hopefully it still doesn't look too bad.

I'm kinda broke currently, but I was thinking about getting Ableton Live as another DAW. I'm using in my music tech class at school, so there's another reason to get it.

It's been a while...

Was doing online college classes last term and it was hell but I finally got a couple of tracks done (and another one almost done).

Apart from taking audio from the main song project in my music program and spicing it all together to make the finished track, I used no audio samples as far as I know. I even did the drum sounds inside that main project.

After lots of anxiety, I present to you the first song I made entirely in 2020.

Back with another song. Started this way back in February 2019 but I'm finally getting it released (these songs take too long to get out). After discovering the power of the Gmic filter bank in Krita, now I can get some open-source crazy pixel sorting effects without coding it myself or downloading more stuff from the Internet to do it, and that's what I used for the cover artwork for this song.

Wanted to release this earlier today but I was doing some other stuff that got in the way. Anyways, thanks for watching/listening and I hope u enjoy the track.

I've decided to go ahead and post this before the end of the year, since I can be pretty confident that the video won't be the same way (I have to still finish making both my new YT intro and the main set of graphics for the whole video). In fact, because I've been so focused on music-related things, despite me not actually posting any music or youtube videos, I'm likely going to take a rest from doing more serious work on those things for a little while (maybe just until later this winter). But I still hope you like this. Have a new year that's at least somewhat more decent than 2020!
