@Pelacha is one of the key figures in the Spanish underground techno scene, her first adventures in electronic music come from the end of the eighties in Madrid. She has been responsible for many club nights as a promoter, she was teaching production when no one did it, she is an extremely technical vinyl dj and a well seasoned producer. She also runs her own label Red Sonja Records. An entire life dedicated to the music we love.

For this release she follows six lunar phases, with a dedicated piece for each one.

First one is Luna Creciente, a relentless rhythmic track, intense, minimal in the components, mental and hypnotic.

Cuarto Creciente turns completely to new territories, dreamy synth pads, clear classic drum machine groove, emotion and melancholy.

Quinto Octante explores yet another sound register, broken rhythms, raw synths and proper bass.

Tercer Octante is spacey and dreamy, a synthesized orchestra directed wisely.

Cuarto Menguante follows, starting with a solid groove soon joined by diverse synth lines in a well cooked arrangement.

Luna Menguante closes the release, spending up the tempo, but preserving the emotional synthetic elements that bring character to the full EP.

Timeless music, provided by someone who has been there from the beginning.

We love to see that established producers, with a name that is recognised worldwide, choose to expand their work into a more complex musical terrain, which is that of sound research and experimentation. These aspirations on the part of this type of artist are the ones that most enhance a musician, leaving the comfort zone often places him in a very different working environment to the one he is used to, as it has less visibility and is aimed at an audience that, unfortunately, is usually a minority.

Víctor Martínez is a non-conformist producer, with a versatile style and two decades of artistic career that demonstrate his great commitment to the Spanish electronic music scene. He is generally known for his contribution to techno, either as Víctor Martínez, Error Etica or with his record project Psychoskunk recordings, but Víctor has been expanding his profession in other fields for years. First he did it as Slaughtered Saint, alias in which he published in 2016 an intense album with a minimalist sound, in which he mixes genres like drone, industrial, sound art, experimental and techno, and a few years later, he decided to undertake another musical project, this time as K3RN3L PØISSØN. We were lucky enough to host his debut under the latter moniker on our first release as a label, and we will always be grateful to him for that.

The loneliness and isolation we suffered in 2020 with the covid confinement influenced many artists. It was possibly one of the few positive things we can attribute to this strange health situation, as the most personal and intimate works of many producers were created during these strange and desolate weeks. 

Isolation Material is a release produced and recorded by Victor Martinez in the past confinement, where he interprets his different emotional states during the isolation due to the pandemic with his different musical aliases, music for the mind, the senses and the emotions. Each track title indicates a crucial moment in this odyssey that took place all over the planet, the first two tracks are signed as Error Etica and the next three as K3RN3L PØISSØN.

News From Tiananmen, is the first cut of this reference, in which he has a style, and above all a harmonic combination, that evidences above all the confusion that invaded all of humanity. Estado de Excepción is the second track published as Error Etica, in fact, it is the only cut in which the artist from La Rioja opts for mental techno to show a unique and forceful situation. In To The Isolation explores the anguish caused by reclusion with a rhythmic structure and unpredictable melodic elements. The bubbling nature of Vacum Types manifests a haunting loneliness, a scenario of suffering and anxiety. Negacionistas is the closing track of Isolation Material, a track with a mysterious atmosphere that can induce different interpretations, such as conspiracy.

Del latín, dissidentĭa, se define como la mirada escéptica y crítica ante sucesos firmemente establecidos entre la corriente mayoritaria del Sistema. Es un acto de rebeldía respecto al estándar comportamental de una Sociedad. Precedida de honestidad y afán genuino de búsqueda, la disidencia requiere disciplina, templanza, equilibrio, espíritu recio y escasa implicación emocional.

El Sistema, al cual pertenecemos de facto, nos convierte en cómplices dóciles en cuanto validamos sus postulados sin conciencia, ni el menor atisbo de oposición intelectual. La disidencia controlada emana del engaño sobre personas sinceras, o de la orquestación teatral desde su mismo origen. En ambos casos, el resultado es presentar como válido un Caballo de Troya, con la aviesa finalidad de reconducir a los verdaderos disidentes hacia una trampa, donde acaban sirviendo a los supuestamente criticados. 

 Los códigos del mal operan bajo la sibilina estrategia “Problema – Reacción – Solución”, promoviendo eventos capaces de ejercer de acicate, catalizando la indignación popular, reconduciéndola y desviándola de cualquier asomo contestatario, impulsando -finalmente- resoluciones liberticidas, amparándose en el bien común. 

La disidencia controlada delimita los márgenes adecuados operantes, ayudándose también de la Ventana de Overton.
En definitiva, es un lobo revestido de cordero, ante el cual, todo buscador de la verdad debiese estar prevenido.

Warm Up is an imprint that is part of the mighty PoleGroup, the well known label from Spain’s marvel Oscar Mulero that has featured artists such as Function, Tensal, Jeroen Search, Reeko, Jonas Kopp and many more.

Having featured a track on the awesome Unknown Landscapes II VA for PoleGroup in 2014, Error Etica makes a triumphant return with a new 11-track album titled Emotional Intelligence. It follows on from appearances on other labels such as PWCCA’s Inducted Waves, Kessell’s Granulart and Kalter Ende’s Concerns Music.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track called “Hysteresis” that is a throbbing and brooding dub techno-style track. Hypnotic in character from its waving and pulsing basslines, it has added distinctions from electric pulse effects that fizz with interesting textures. The echoing percussion also creates a disorientating vibe that take it to a contemporary masterclass.
