Germany-based producer Gorje Hewek unveils his latest EP, entitled ‘Celestial’, on Anjunadeep on July 25. This EP marks his first release on the Anjunadeep since 2019, when his and Izhevski’s laid-back rework of Belgian Eurovision entry ‘City Lights’ by Blanche eased onto the label, and began to make a splash at DSPs. To date, the remix has racked up 2M streams and is one of Gorje Hewek’s most popular tracks to date.

This new ‘Celestial EP’ once again showcases his beloved swelling, yet intricate musicality, and sees him collaborate with fellow organic house producers Volen Sentir, Dulus and Moya. With warm piano notes, delicate string leads and driving percussion, the ‘Celestial EP’ creates an organic and calming ambience, perfect for easy summer listening.

Gorje has previously released on labels such as All Day I Dream and Watergate Records, and leads Shanti Radio, a label that has released music from artists including Planet Funk, Makebo, Tim Green, and M.O.S. 

Having recently completed a tour of Mexico, as well as recently playing a multitude of shows around the world, including Anjunadeep’s Explorations festival, Gorje Hewek is now poised to embark on a US, Australia and South America tour across the latter half of 2023.

Ukrainian artist Nōpi returns to Anjunadeep with ‘Freefly EP’, his first EP on the label since 2021. The title track was first premiered on Anjunadeep 14 in April 2023, and is a collaboration with Jody Wisternoff and label boss James Grant.

Since making his label debut on Anjunadeep Explorations 15 in 2020, Nōpi has received consistent support on the label’s flagship compilations, with tracks appearing consecutively in Anjunadeep 12, 13 and 14. In fact, the second track on the ‘Freefly EP’, ‘Tree’, originally premiered on Anjunadeep 13, back in 2021, with Nōpi’s offering being touted by James Grant as one of the compilation’s highlights.

The 'Freefly EP’ is no exception to the atmospheric worlds that Nōpi creates with his music, featuring deep soundscapes, washed-out melodies, intricate percussion and moody basslines. This high quality has seen Nōpi supported by respected artists like Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Cristoph.

With Kamilo Sanclemente and Dabeat making waves over the past 12 months, Proton Music is delighted to showcase "Spiral Patterns" with a high-profile remix from a Brazilian superstar.

From Cali, south-west of the Bogota capital, Kamilo Sanclemente and Dabeat have seen their career trajectory rise steeply over the past 12 months. With over 300 productions credits to his name, Sanclemente is no stranger to the underground production scene. Making a 2013 debut on Suite 7 Records, the Colombian has gone on to feature on a host of blue-chip imprints with Parquet, Einmusika and Perspectives Digital frequent supporters of his progressive sound. Indeed, it was with the latter that Sanclemente has had particular success. Centred around the "El Sol/La Luna" in collaboration with fellow countryman, Golan Zocher, October 2018's "Cosmosphere" saw a Sanclemente and Dabeat collaborate for the Darin Epsilon imprint. A regular on Particles, August 2017's three-track "Revelations" EP was followed by May 2018's "Eva". A remix of Imran Khan's "Arrival" saw the pair join forces for the first time on the label so it a pleasure to welcome them back with a debut original track. Oozing with class and a mature production style, "Spiral Patterns" builds upon a ticking percussive framework and strong beat as a cavernous glissando bassline provides depth. Evolving with consummate ease, rippling arpeggios emerge with a central melodic theme, opening up in filtered glory at the mid-point breakdown. A haunting lead reprises the melody post-breakdown and a chorus of pads add textured layers that leads to a rousing denouement in the third movement.

Some artists require no introduction and Brazilian icon, Andre Sobota, is one such artist. Responsible for a string of cross-genre hits that carry a unique flair for melody and rhythm, Sobota's meticulous attention to sound design and percussive detail has found him remixing Coldplay and Rihanna while making multiple appearances on BBC Radio 1. A production career that has witnessed some 500 production credits across a plethora of renowned labels has seen Sobota's work allied to the likes of Anjunadeep, Toolroom and microCastle, supported by A-list DJs, from John Digweed and Dave Seaman to Hernan Cattaneo and Eelke Kleijn. A welcome regular on Proton Music, December 2009's "One Day Out" EP set the tone for a half-century of tracks to light up the label with a glorious array of rhythmic variation and coruscating emotive melody. "Signal", "Fragments" and "Unmute" have all followed across the past three years, not forgetting a reinvention of his debut EP in 2014 with "5 Years Outside". A stellar collection of remixes have sat alongside the original material as Andre Sobota returns to rework Kamilo Sanclemente and Dabeat in typically impressive fashion. Using the central melodic themes from "Spiral Patterns", shimmering pads and motifs emerge, tied to an intricately programmed rhythmic groove. A rich bassline adds substance and depth as the tracks builds to its zenith via a stripped-back ethereal breakdown. Rising and falling effortlessly, Sobota's work is a class apart.

Flowing in constantly evolving circles, "Spiral Patterns" finds Kamilo Sanclemente and Dabeat flying high with Andre Sobota.

Spellbinding Russian duo Modd are back with their 'Swallow’s Nest' EP, their latest extended play since 2018’s ‘Mesmerize Me’. A showcase of fresh talent from the global electronic scene, Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns this June for its tenth instalment. This time around we welcome a stellar lineup; six Anjunadeep alumni in Luttrell, Michael Cassette, Antic, Marsh, Just Her, and Fluida, and two label debutants in Wassu and Elif, all of whom will be playing at Anjunadeep: Explorations in Albania this summer.

An update on his 2016 belter ‘Need You’, Luttrell’s ‘Need You Now’ makes special use of his own vocals, building to a euphoric finish typical of the Beatport top ten producer.

After 8 years, Michael Cassette returns with the nostalgic ’Shadows Movement (Solar Energy Remake)’. An update on his 2008 label classic, the cut affirms Cassette’s high-energy production is as powerful as ever.

His fourth release on Anjunadeep, Antic’s mesmerisingly intense ‘Next Time’ plies his own vocals amongst a deep, acid-led arrangement perfect for those late hot nights.

A sure staple of summer 2019, ‘Like You’ is a collaboration between Marsh and New York producer and friend Wassu (FKA Weston Butler). This sweet cut sees Marsh’s own vocal drift on top of a sublime chord progression and distant field recordings.

A darker turn, Just Her’s invigorating ‘Nothing But Time’ marks the Brighton-based producer and Essential New Tune recipient’s third Explorations appearance.

Exotic duo Fluida return to Anjunadeep for their third release ‘Indian Kicks’; the track’s uplifting arrangement and rousing percussion stemming from samples of their own field recordings in India.

Closing out the release is the enlivening ‘Random Act of Kindness’, from label debutant Elif. Istanbul born, Amsterdam-based, Elif’s nomadic lifestyle is reflected in her multi-faceted production.

Anjunadeep warmly welcomes Simon Doty for his standalone label debut with stellar double cut 'Sonoma / Luna’. 

Following releases on Einmusika and Last Night On Earth, Doty first appeared on Anjunadeep Explorations 11 with 2019’s collaboration with Zein ‘Sama’. This time around the Toronto-based producer teams up with Ezequiel Arias on the arpeggio-laden ’Sonoma’, contrasting it’s fluttering instrumentation with the dark soundscape found in B-side ‘Luna’.

Emiliano Zapata alias El Bastardo from Uruguay appears with his new release of two of his own music entitled ‘What We Got’. Emiliano may already be familiar with his previous releases, which have appeared with publishers such as Redrum, Natura Viva, Capital Heaven, Baikonur or Stereo Productions. Both music also contain vocals, featuring Bibi Sanchez and Cardellino. We’ve asked Madraas and Beije for remixer tasks this time, and we won’t be disappointed with either version, and fans of organic, afro, and deeper sounds will also find the version that’s easiest to fit into their sets.
