David Lucas and his late father, Bill Lucas, an acclaimed Sydney architect attended my voice workshops held by the "Once Extra Dance Company" back in the "80's". Adventurous , creative souls with no holds barred on what was the beginnings of Danse Danse. It was then called "Dance Out Of Beat" and was a commentary on the club scene that I'd very much been a part of in the "60's" In recent times I invited Annette Scott on board who has brought it brilliantly to fruition along with my longtime collaborator, Jazz pianist/composer, Kirk Kadish. Now we have a new take on the current dance scene with a touch of empowerment as to who has the final moves.

This is the last track on Neil's 25the studio LP in the year 2000.
" Neil Young's song "Without Rings" is about a person's place in life, their purpose, and the idea that life passes within, not before their eyes. The song's gentle melody repeats like a tide, while Young reflects on his life. Some of the song's lyrics include: 
"Electrical energy. fighting drugs with pain. there's a war inside. pictures in my brain"
"I'm looking for a job. I don't know what I'm doing"
"My software's not compatible with you. But this I can't deny. I know that you can fly"
