Back from a massive Argentina tour, Christopher Lawrence is in the studio to deliver this months Rush Hour. 

This month features new tracks from Psilocybian & Black Noise, Mental Broadcast & Mind Evolution plus new tracks from Pharmacy Music’s J Michael Kober and Renato Dinis. The episodes “Track of the Month” is an absolute monster by Mirok - could be the track of the year, it’s that good!

This months guest mix comes from respected UK psy trance producer Mechanimal. 

Mechanimal is a fusion of full on groovy beats, fat funky bass lines and twisted melodic journeys. Since the first live in October 2009 Mechanimal has been Performing around London, Europe and Brasil since. Now with over 20 successful releases and ever growing experience Mechanimal is now ready to blast 2013 with it's debut album coming soon!

Nick started his musical journey at the age of 13 in Paris where he learned to play the bass & guitar. Over the years he participated & performed in numerous bands covering genres from rock, metal, jazz, new age & urban music.

He pursued his passion by moving to London to study a music degree where he was acquired in the dance music scene as a session guitarist. After performing at venues such as Brixton Academy, KOKO & The Fridge he was inspired to explore the world of music production.Since then he has been playing at festivals such as Universo Paralelo in Brazil, Some of the best parties in London and many exciting festivals around Europe as Mechanimal & Saga.

Thiago Ramos - Psychedelic Travel

7th Dimension is a DJ based in Mytilini, Lesvos Island, Greece.
He began djing in events and venues in the city covering EDM style and mostly the psychedelic trance. Later and after the formation of Psytrance Activity, a project which he is one of the founding members, he focused on the sub-genres of psy-chill and psy-progressive.
Currently he's organizing, along with the other team members, Psychedelic Trance music parties under the name of Psytrance Activity where his performances create energy and positive vibes, the key elements for a successful event.

As modern architects envisioned, the structure of an object should primarily be based upon its intended function. Therefore, Piet Kaempfer and Ralf Dietze, aka Protonica, the architects of this creation, decided that each brick, each curve and angle should be built with a lot of thought, love and devotion. Every piece of sound you will hear vibrating through your ear canals has been specially designed from scratch, and was tested under the highest levels of professionals. Thus, Form Follows Function is not like most albums which gets produced and released for the sake of being released, it is exactly the opposite intention – to deviate from the factory like music that surrounds us and craft a form that was thoroughly thought of before, while and after it was conceived.

Form Follows Function is divided into 9 different functions, which were modeled into 9 different forms that will suit its desired function. However, the function is flexible and dynamic, and enables each person that listens to the album to adjust his own prefixed functions and slide into a liquid amorphous ever changing entity. This album is the second masterpiece from Protonica, which comes 5 years after their debut album Search, which was released in 2007. Now it seems that the search for their own style is finished, and the time to dive deep and explore the next stages of their sound has come.

After 5 years of refining and crystalizing their sound, they preserved their old Acid influences, while combining new elements of Progressive and Psychedelic Trance. Dietze and Kaempfer followed the function of their name - Protonica - which means positive charge, and always had the dance floor in mind in order to tell hypnotizing stories which will enchant every person. The guys have collaborated with other superb artists such as Liquid Soul, aka Nicola Capobianco, on the track Floating Point, and another exquisite joint venture where they marked their point of view on Ace Ventura, aka Yoni Oshrat, and Rocky's, aka Roy Tilbor, track Serotonin Overdose.

These are a few adjectives I´ve found to describe this Hypnotic Session, done exclusively for CELEBRA party in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Last time I play Progressive Dark was in 2003 so it was a real special ocasion for me and I loved the results.
Mixing it was very close to Hard Techno (which I used to mix from 2000 to 2002) so you can expect nice mixing skills here.
The set was 100% recorded LIVE while I was playing, so you will feel as I was playing live for you.

Esses são alguns adjetivos que encontrei para descrever esse Hypnotic Session, feito exclusivamente para a festa CELEBRA em São Paulo, Brasil.
A última vez que toquei Progressive Dark foi em 2003 então foi realmente uma ocasião especial e eu amei o resultado.
Mixa-lo foi muito semelhante ao Hard Techno (que toquei de 2000 a 2002) então vocês podem esperar alguns truques de mixagem bem interessantes aqui.
O set foi gravado 100% ao vivo enquanto eu tocava, então vocês sentirão como se eu eu estivesse tocando ao vivo para vocês.
