So I was dying to play an original song with my new guitar….  Still recovering from a sore throat, but I couldn’t avoid to do so.  Also was not up to spend much time on mixing and doing MIDI tracks.  So that’s it… a simple and unpretentious song.

Well.. this one was a test of the new M-Audio Fast Track I just bought... so... not  good at all.  Still learning how to work on Avid Pro Tools (Christ!!!!  I bet I would think easier to learn rocket science hahaha).

Yeah Yeah... I know that "Hurt" is a song written by Trent Reznor, first released on Nine Inch Nails' 1994 album The Downward Spiral. But in 2002, the song was covered by Johnny Cash and seriously... he could not do it better if he was the songwriter.

Amazing talent.  Elliott Smith has been one of my favourites artists since I've discovered his work.  Not everyone have courage enough to show the dark side through songs like he did.  Actually, he did it brilliantly.  Huge respect for this musician.  

No really sure about posting this song.  Was another of those lonely moments with my Guido that I've decided to share with you guys.

Going Nowhere (Elliott Smith -  cover)

I was not going to post this... it was only a test for the new microphone I got myself as a xmas gift.  Was the first time that I recorded Guido like this (external microphone & plugged).  Really a great sound of my baby.

This song is incredible because of its meaning...the story behind the lyrics really moves me. Please google it for more details (Alain Johannes and  Natasha Shneider story... its tragic but really beautiful) 

I must to thank James for showing me the incredible work of Alain Johannes and his band Eleven.  Was really an amazing discover for me.  Thanks dear <3  you are a damn good music advisor (and no... I won't pay you any wage for this position!!! FORGET IT! lol)

One day Philip Bridle told me  - when I commented in one of his songs that to make originals was not my “stuff” -  that everyone has a song inside only waiting to come out.  Well, I guess he is right because I woke up yesterday with this song inside my head.  So annoying that this was how I saved the premix on my computer (Annoying song hahahahaha)

My little Leone was with pneumonia (actually he is still recovering) and after 6 days without even look to my Guido, I finally had some time with him last night.  And then my first song was finally done.

So.. that’s it.  My first original.  :-)

Well, well well... after a couple of originals I guess i have no other option than admit that I am a musician... at least "a sort of" :-)  I even have an album on Spotify!!!! LMAO
