Over the past decade, Kasra V has blossomed as a prominent figure in the music industry, particularly through his renowned residency on NTS Radio which has expanded his profound knowledge and expertise in music. Since landing his radio residency in January 2014 he has successfully broadcast over 200 radio shows, making use of the format to explore a wide array of sonic attitudes, styles and systems.

To celebrate his achievement Kasra V launches his own imprint V-Sion which he will not only use for his own release output but also to propel his vision of contemporary dance music. To kick things off he presents a stunning 9-track compilation ’10:10 Kasra V presents 10 years on NTS Radio’ featuring unreleased tracks from some of his most revered guests who have graced his show throughout the years. Each contribution is wholly in line with Kasra V’s genre-spanning approach.

Over the years some periods have seen him playing straightforward club music, others featuring an extended notion of listening music. One hears a whole breadth of influences in his releases on acclaimed labels such as Radiant Records and Shaytoon Records: collected strands of rave, acid house, San Francisco breakbeat, new beat, ambient, oddball pop from 90s and 80s, UK bleep and so on. The regularity of a broadcasting residency pushed him to carry out a constant study of the history of dance music, and he envisions V-Sion as an output to curate musical output, contributing to the ongoing dialogue between past, future and the ever-changing fulcrum of the sonic present.

The tracks presented on 10:10 are also emblematic of this historically-informed approach to dance music. They are all tuned for the floor, but present a range of possible floors to conjure: Fantastic Man’s progressive opener, “Neural Filter”, is airy and laced with delicate breakbeats, while “Archangel Waltz” by Sepehr presents a shadowy drama of string samples and throbbing bass swells.“Qadak” by 500SEC lays an anthemic Arabic melody over bubbling electro; 2 tracks prior, Angel D’Lite circulates a whisper and moan through the mix of a euphoric, rave-stabbed anthem. The latter encouraged Kasra to put out this very compilation, which is just a testament to the value of the company we keep.

@intertwined-recordings, a brand-new project by one of the team behind Extract The Motion, bursts into Bandcamp with a single by Naarm/Melbourne's own DJ Life. Its mission is to explore the relationship between sound, flavour and art, focusing on a love for wine.

Outside of its extensive tasting videos with producers, Intertwined has demonstrated a penchant for a taste of a whole other flavour, not so coincidentally releasing DJ Life's single on 4/20.

Of the track, Intertwined shared that " Weedwhacker reveals a hidden side to DJ Life’s musical vernacular, exploring a more emotive soundscape that takes influence from 90’s tech house and ital disco. 

Plush, dense, and textural, every layer moves with weight and grace, wrapping the listener in velvety grooves. Nostalgic and transportive this song is a slow burn that rewards patience with pure dancefloor bliss."

eoin dj has been quietly DJing, running parties and making music for a hot minute. Originally from the west coast of Ireland they are currently based in Berlin via stints in London and Glasgow. Over the past few years their own productions have emerged into the either, with releases on Planet Euphorique, Radiant Records, Punctuality and the newly established SecretSundaze imprint 9finity. 

With appearances at Eris Drew and Octo Octa’s T4T Luv NRG parties in London and Club Raum in Amsterdam, the eoin dj rave experience draws from all hues of the dance music spectrum - psychedelic techno, indulgent hard house, rolling tech cuts and understated garage numbers are seamlessly stitched around dreamy breakbeats, pumping acid and sub heavy dub freak outs over the course of a set. Drawing on more than 10 years of deejay experience, you can be certain that eoin is adept at creating mind bending transcendental dance-floor moments at any hour of the day or night. Their distinctive sound has earned them residencies at revered London institutions Club Are and Joyride, the latter taking place monthly at Corsica Studios. They are also a mainstay at London techno institution unfold.   

You can hear these shades in eoin’s mix contributions for DJ Mag, Truants, NTS, Hue & Saturation, Pipipi, Radiant Records and The Lot Radio, in and amongst a plethora of other hot sets floating about cyberspace. Having already played some of Europe’s most prestigious clubs and festivals in the past years, including Horst, Left Bank, Macadam, OHM and Venue MOT, the only way is up for eoin dj.

As they landed from an extended hover - Fast At Work found themselves drawn to a new, singular sonic flow. With a future forward vision of higher-deeper tempos, the crew realized that often the most meaningful iterations can be found in the most inconspicuous places - “not even noticed,” some might say. Within these subtle crevices, a rising duo emerged to carry this torch forward, expertly crafting four original offerings. While the title contribution echoes a sermon of oozing bassline flows and siren signals, “Drip Advise” mesmerizes with its spiraling melodies and a deluge of percussion. The B-side hosts the acid-tinged “Creamavity,” as well as “Anxious,” which synthesizes the full pilgrimage into a polished musical definition. To wrap their heli-disc, the mystical duo prescribes a set of two reshapes: Wisdom Teeth’s K-Lone opts for strong foundational grooves and deep airy textures, while Maara crafts an oceanic odyssey – over 10 minutes of timeworn atmospherics and sensorial sensibilities.
