Story :

Completely exhausted by gigs after which he had to sleep for three hours, Josh Wink went to his studio to work on the track, but the only thing that he could squeeze out of himself was laughter.

“So I said f**k it I’ll record myself laughing.” Back then, he was fascinated by, as he called it, Chicago minimalism: the less, the better. Which meant a Roland TR-909 with elements of classic house and experimental acid. Sound like it’s unfinished but interesting — it’ll do.

Don’t laugh was not recorded seriously — it’s a typical sketch: hypnotic, throbbing, diabolic. And besides, it resembled his previous release, How’s the music. Because it was recorded just for fun. But after this, Mike Weiss from a New York label, Nevrous, called. After hearing a funny demo by Wink, which he played as his background music, he immediately asked Wink to send the record to the headquarters of the label. It was Wink’s first big commercial success. Soon he would release Higher state of consciousness.

For this summer we'd like to bring everyone closer together. To gather the global community of artists, visionaries, thinkers, doers, ... to unify in consciousness and vibration that was has been divided and separated for so long by indoctrination and cultures of dominance and unbalance. 
We believe in the force of music as a unifier and expander of consciousness and we aim to steer away from discrimination, privilege, brand culture and other aspects by having a low threshold towards artists and creatives.

@Hentopan108 "Inspired by the heavy organ hits of producers like Braindamage and Panda  Dub I was playing around with some plugins to explore similar sounds... The same day I saw a little documentary about the 'original livity' of the original Rastafari that for example don't "smoke and eat plantbased. They  have strict living principles to counter the force of "Babylon" that is seeping into everyones consciousness and causing loss of virtue, self respect and connection to nature. 
So even more inspired and 'addressed' (I also don't smoke) I wanted to achieve a contemporary or 'future' dub sound by focussing on dance music elements and minimizing the band-elements. 
I enjoyed the process so I may do some more future dub in the future. 
I hope y'all enjoy."

We are glad to present the remixes pack of «@nikosh
- Kima» EP, where four distinct artists bring unique interpretations to the
original tracks, each adding a fresh sonic perspective.

@erhanyilmazedits takes «Gallo» into more profound, meditative territory,
transforming it into an entrancing 4/4 electronic journey. Hypnotic rhythms and
immersive textures pull you in, creating a groove that subtly takes over, making
your head nod in sync with its pulsating energy.

@jonasfasching brings his signature pumping electronic drive to the «Gallo»
remix, shaping a bold reinterpretation inspired by the original piano sample. He
builds a captivating atmosphere through an eﬀective chord progression, later
expanding it with an expressive jam session on the «Novation Peak», adding layers
of evolving synth textures.

@turuanasi delivers a joyful, dance-driven rework of «Lunar,» infusing it with a
soulful touch. A beautifully expressive trumpet solo intertwines with warm
«Rhodes» electric piano chords, crafting an uplifting groove that invites movement
and emotion in equal measure.

@amu_amu completely reshapes the «Kima» track with a deep, atmospheric
sound design. Layering recordings of external synths and intricate FX, he creates a
slow-burning, hypnotic downtempo trip. The track flows like an endless train
through dark and mysterious soundscapes, with the «Arturia PolyBrute» and
«Novation Andromeda» lends organic instability to the textures, resulting in an
experimental, otherworldly ambiance.
