Live recording of Liberty Brass Band at the Swiss National Brass Band Championships in Montreux. Curupira is a character of the Brazilian mythology. He is the protector of the animals and the forest. 
The piece was shortlisted for the 4 Bars Rest 'Test Piece of the Year' award in December 2014.

We Will Be Free

Written for trombonist Tobias Lang the piece tells the legend of the Boto, a pink river dolphin in the Amazon river. One night in June the Boto morphs into a young man and will seduce a young girl at a Junina festival. At the end of the night he will disappear again into the Amazon river, but not before getting her pregnant. Still today folklore has it that if the father of a child is not known, the child is meant to be o filho do Boto, the son of the Boto.

Sinfonische Stubete for four clarinets, piano and percussion takes inspiration from Swiss folk and dance music. It was commissioned for and premiered at the Festival Stubete am See at Tonhalle Zürich. Played by the ensemble Chammerart.
