March Specials wrap up with a set from Alinka (she/her)—a Kyiv-born dj shaped by Chicago house. She co-founded with Shaun J. Wright the independent label Twirl, where they channel their vision of the electronic scene, infused with the spirit of the old school.

Despite her busy schedule, Alinka stays deeply connected to Kyiv and its music community. She returns regularly to support the scene, catch up with friends, and spend time in the city that will always feel like home.

"For this mix, I actually did something really special. I’m premiering the remixes from my Subject Detroit compilation, and I’ve also created five new tracks specifically to play in this mix. There are a couple of other tracks from some amazingly talented artists in there as well. The focus is an uptempo, danceable, but super funky techno mix – not sleepy, not slow – just Detroit style. That’s what I love to do. It’s got to be funky, but it has to have that pace and danceability."

I had thee pleasure 2 play along side Juan Atkins @ The ADE in Amsterdam in 2008'. That wuz an amazing experience. Especially on tha way 2 tha gig we were jammin' 2 Dave Clarke on tha radio & he dropped a Juan Atkins track & Juan started 2 sing it right there live in tha back seat of our ride 2 tha gig. BTW, DJ Pierre wuz on tha other side of me, we were on our way 2 an Afro Acid warehouse party ")
