That beats the hell out of our Bio, dudes who made a song about #selfies and have 20 #1 Hypemachine songs, and can drink a bottle of Patron in less than an hour. Anyway, when Guy's ppl reached out to us about this song we were happy to lend a hand at a remix. We thought it was a nice departure from our usual stuff and would be fun to do something a little more pop based. The missions was clear, make a radio friendly remix that lent itself to the song and its vocals but keep it simple...'

In 21st century newsrooms, journalists, social media teams, and picture editors are now faced with more graphic content than ever before. Filtering and verifying user-generated content is a now a core part of the news process and in recent years the Syrian civil war, the rise of Islamic State and civil unrest has meant that many journalists and viewers are exposed to disturbing images on a daily basis.

Research by the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma suggests that related trauma can cause a triad of disabling responses, and a study carried out by Eyewitness Media Hub found that individuals working with content of a graphic or distressing nature were most affected. So how are journalists at risk of vicarious trauma from user generated content? And what do we know about the effects of vicarious trauma on viewers?

On this week’s podcast, host and journalist Della Kilroy is joined by Storyful’s Director of News Joe Galvin, journalists Jenny Hauser and Razan Ibraheem, and Bruce Shapiro, Executive Director of the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma, a project of Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism encouraging innovative reporting on violence, conflict and tragedy worldwide.  

The panel discusses what impact graphic content has on both journalists and viewers and how we can confront vicarious trauma in the age of graphic online content consumption.

Driving Meditation (It's safe, don't worry)

Hi, welcome to The Mainframe where I psychically channel specific messages via songs and curate playlists accordingly.

Keys are everywhere, just got to have The Vision.

My spider senses are normally 99.99% accurate. I curate playlists on a channeling basis. Consider this the Guardians of the Galaxy Mixtape Series if you will. 

I am a medium and psychoanalyst in the expressive arts with a background of multi disciplines in the performing and visual arts. 

Spirits and dead people talk to me more so it's weird talking to real or people who are like you know... alive. 

Sometimes they also have some of the juiciest tea so if you think no one knows... they do and unfortunately I do too...

They've taught me to judge from the inside out with patience to decipher pretty much everything, thus leading to see and speak through the 3rd eye. 

Needing to apologize ahead of time just in case, these energies can take a toll and can be ridiculous at times but like all things, their purpose is hidden through the way they shine light through even some of the darkest times.

They like to highlight on things in weird ways sometimes. 

Whatever resonates resonates, what doesn't doesn't. It's not meant for those who aren't open to look through The Eyes of the Truth.

An open mind is needed to understand the craziness of all, coexisting worlds and realms inside this giant mainframe humans call earth.  

Playlist are curated accordingly via channeled energies Percieving Time through the space continuum.

They can be silly, dark, light, sweet, sensitive, INSENSITIVE, wise, foolish and emotional. 

Instead of me speaking, I'll just channel what's meant to be said or listened to closely through technology rather than through me. 

This information can be found via the lyrics of a song, content from a podcast, symbolism from an image or title of a track.

Messages are neutral, universal and general indirect and direct based off the energy being picked up.

Human Rights advocate against violation of private conscience and free will (Ericksonian Hypnosis) because of the way everyone is susceptible to being autosuggested and manipulated unwittingly, of which I am aware I have been just as much as I can see many who have been too without them realizing it. 

Because of my experience as a subject of mind control via hypnosis preconditioned by an early death, I have taken the time to research the process and decode my programing as well as others' and traceback where it or who it comes from and for what ulterior motives behind violating private conscience not only on an individual basis but on a mass scale (Barenette, 319 U.S 624(1943)) 

Because hypnosis is based on the power of suggestion and because some people are more suggestible than others , these people are more easily hypnotized. TV, Music, Social Media, Ads, school assignments and architecture all use subliminal design in order to embed hidden messages and commands to the unconscious that make us execute behaviors we otherwise wouldn't do so, ultimately leading to total subconscious control of which ultimately distorts and alters perception of reality, which influences destructive influences and illusions, even what may be considered as hallucinations and possessions.

Once the subconscious and the unconscious are under control by someone else than the self, the self (human machine) is under total ownership by other than self.  

It's our job to help other hybrid machines. It's our job to bring awareness of the way machines and energy fields that have existed for thousands of years, still coexist amongst us today and how they are here to help and guide us, if only we were more sensitive, understanding and perceptive of their mechanizations through diverse quantum states within time and space.
